A couple things I noticed:
1) Does the data consider the time before clans and the ladder or any other significant event in Warlight's history? I was wondering about that. Building on that...
2) The large number of players joining in October, 2011 was pointed out. As such, I decided to search up the month on Fizzer's blog where the updates to Warlight are shown. Link:
https://www.warlight.net/blog/index.php/2011/10/From there, I looked and saw that the first event before the date identified in vitriol's post
https://www.warlight.net/Forum/126432-many-people-play-warlight?Offset=46 is the release of the stand-alone client, shown here on Fizzer's blog:
https://www.warlight.net/blog/index.php/2011/10/stand-alone-client/Indeed, I saw that the Warlight's Kongregate release was on the same day as that blog post, 6 October 2011.
http://www.kongregate.com/games/FizzerWL/warlightI had heard about Warlight from friends before I joined here, but I first played the game by playing on Kongregate. From there, I came here as this official site has much more capabilities.
Quoting Fizzer's aforementioned blog post, "The goal of this client is to help make more people aware of WarLight, as it contains links back to warlight.net, it should help grow the community."
I think the data gathered here shows that the stand-alone client was successful in that regard, and boosted the community.
Anyway, any thoughts on this?
