Fox News just announced that Rand Paul will be ineligible for the next debate on the main stage and will instead be relegated to the undercard (high school) debate stage. This is a humiliating and shockingly stupid move by Fox New's establishment republican executives. Rand Paul is the only one on the GOP field with noticeable differences in policy compared to his rivals on criminal reform, drug policy, foreign policy, mass surveillance, and voter ID laws.

I'm boycotting the debate. People should follow suit. Rand Paul has $25 million, 1000 captains in Iowa, has made the ballot in every state, and has been increasing in multiple polls.

Jai, rand Paul doesn't have enough support. It's not like he was singled out, carely got kicked out too. The point is, no matter how much I like Rand, he obviously failed and honestly should stop wast his money because frankly, our time as libertarians hasn't arrived. Policy and beliefs doesn't determine where you are in the polls, people do and he doesn't have much.

It doesn't matter if he can't win the point is that he is espousing a unique viewpoint in the Republican Party. He is an important foundation for showing that the republican party is the big-tent party of ideas and solutions. Multiple people on the main debate stage know they have no chance of winning!! Enough of this uppercard and undercard debates. Its grossly unprofessional. Fox News is essentially trying to predetermine election results by selectively choosing who voters get to here speak. Its undemocratic and reeks of the establishment gerrymandering this election.

By the rules, he doesn't Have the support. I don't like the the rules but Fox is following them.

His notable differences are because he is not a Republican. You could stick any Democrat on the stage and say he has notable differences to the others XD

At least Rand Paul is actually a fiscal conservative, unlike most in the government (republican, democrat or other).

Ronald Trump is the best

Rand just didn't have the conviction and intensity that his father brought, and he wasn't able to pull much support. I also felt like he sold out some of his ideals in an attempt for broader support, which obviously backfired. There will be a time for a libertarian president (and hopefully entire political party) in the USA but it's not today, we just get to pick our flavor of authoritarian.

Rand was the only republican candidate who didn't make me cringe in previous debates, if the election comes down to Clinton VS Anyone But Rand Paul I will be happily throwing my vote behind a fringe candidate, because at this point the only way things will get better is be throwing the Dems AND Repubs out of office.

Rand Paul, the ony Republican candidate that can debate on substance and policies...no wonder he got kicked out of the debate stage, it's a Republican "debate", i.e. a clown show for who is going to be the loudest idiot on stage. Rand Paul just could't fit in.

Not enough support + Not enough support = Not being a major candidate! and thus you don't get on the main stage. he's got the lowest number of any relatively well known candidate and unfortunately Trump made him and Bush look like idiots most debates ( which is really Both Bush's and Paul's Fault. I mean for goodness sake they had so much to bash him for but they chose to go at him personally and tarnish his record and in turn Trump made them look like bumbling idiots. Rand made a dumbass mistake and whatever advisor told him to do that should be fired ) I mean honestly, Rand made so many beginner mistakes. personally I think Rand was riding on the fact that he thought his ideas and rhetoric would push him through but you need to be able to connect with the crowd and pull out the trump card ( no pun intended ) at the right moment something which Ron had but Rand does not. Rand cant connect and does not have a stage personality like Trump has. I think Rand Is Probably gonna be our generations Newt Gengrich. A good guy, with good ideas, and got good stuff done but he just did't have what it took to Be President much less Successfully run for it

I think Paul and Fiorina will be a big loss. If only JEB! and Kasich left instead....:(

It seems that these US parties "debates" are just for the show (for what I see here), the one losing is the less entertaining one, how can you win against Trumpy the clown?

it's a Republican "debate", i.e. a clown show for who is going to be the loudest idiot on stage. Rand Paul just could't fit in.

Ironically that's how I felt about the Democrat's debates...felt bad for Chafee and Webb.
