Trump and other critics of Islam have a very direct relation to this threads's topic: they are the solution to the problem. You might be content listening to condolences from people who have no idea how to prevent such attacks in the future. Maybe even block attempts. I am not. you implied that only Trump could defeat ISIS when it is clear that ISIS is not going to last regardless of the elections. How do you know how long ISIS will last?

I guess the egoistic and narrow-minded nature of some people cannot be helped. It's difficult not to get pessimistic from all of this. The only grounds this is actual news is from narrow-mindedness. Far more folk die everyday, just not often in West Europe. Where is the "Je suis Ankara"? Or "Je suis Baga", or any major stir about them? More killed, less attention paid. Won't you just get sad reading the major wars and conflicts of the last 10 years? Well, as Stalin's famous advertising saying is, "One death is a tragedy. One million is a stat.".

Nobody forbids you to have "je suis Ankara" in your profile Juq, this has nothing to do with 'narrow-mindedness'. Don't forget Cote d'Ivoire and Mali that also faced terrorist attacks these last days.

Don't forget Cote d'Ivoire and Mali that also faced terrorist attacks these last days. These were only a few big or recent examples I listed, the point is, this attack is nothing special. If you want to honour the dead, fine, but honour all innocents dead, not some innocents dead. And yeah, noone forbids me, but the problem is, narrow-mindedness to the point of arbitrarily valuing some lives over others.

437,000 people were murdered worldwide in 2012...it would take an awfully long time to "honour all innocents dead".
All lives are equally valuable and I don't think anyone can say otherwise, but I don't think honoring those who died in Belgium yesterday is somehow wrong or narrow-minded. It may be naive at the most, but we should never criticize people for feeling sad about the death of innocent people.

I really don't think its an either or. If someone dies due to a homicide, could you really fault friends, relatives, and the local community form honoring that death even thought they may be ignoring other gun deaths that have occurred? Not honoring that death would be even more dehumanized.

Naïve? Did you pay attention to what I wrote, I know someone personally affected by what happened in Brussels. Keep talking about pointless things. Do you really believe it is worth it to waste your time about the choice of my profile pic? Fuck you all.

ISIS is a mob with no great advantages and is going against all the countries of the world. It has so far took over about half of two weak destabilized countries. One had no conventional training for its army and the other was split between three main groups that were fighting.
Their only advantage is that a bunch of kids can "join" and go bomb the country they're in. Tell me, how will ISIS successfully defeat Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey , Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, what's left of Libya, what's left of Yemen, the Gulf States, Oman, Pakistan , Afghanistan, the Taliban, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan , Georgia, Azerbajian, Lebanon, Armenia, Nargarno-Kabarhk, Israel, South Ossetia and finally Russia? How will a country with few well trained officers, a small base willing to fight, a easily cut money supply and no Air Force defeat all of those countries with that when they don't even have proper guidelines for army organization, Internal divisions for easy mobilization , and are hated nearly universally by everyone they conquer? Not to mention they would be at war non-stop and casualties would be very high due to poor training.

The rest of the world shares solidarity and condemns the terrorist attacks committed by ISIL. This is a good moment for the world nations to come together as one front and form an international coalition against ISIL. The public awareness on media is also really important to give a signal to their gouverments respectively. Thanks to social media people are aware of how cruel ISIL (muslim extremism) is and brings all people around the world together.

All lives are equally valuable and I don't think anyone can say otherwise stop saying nonsense like this, realy only a few values all lives equally. A lot of people value there own/love ones/family/friends more then other lives. Lot of people also value lives that contribute a lot more then lives of people that want to blow themselves up in a train.

Tell me, how will ISIS successfully defeat ISIS will most likely fall unless they transition into a less bloody organization, like Al-Qaida. But it might fall in 1 year, or 20 years. So far it hasn't been stopped, and there is a chance of it growing if more Arab nations destabilize. Just sitting and waiting will certainly not defeat ISIS.

You are underestimating them. While they are not a professional army, in today's age, this is not an issue, and they have a fairly formidable ground force. They will use their 30000 ground troops to take over Syria and Iraq and possible more, if we do nothing, and then fall upon the West with bombings. I saw one thing where they had 400 men ready to launch mass terror strikes on Europe and the USA. The only way to stop that is to destroy them now, so they don't have space, time, and resources to train and equip suicide bombers.
