I'm back and an update should be coming out today. I just need to take all my turns in my games and break my vacation before I'll do the update. Not much has changed from last week but still I'll stretch it out to 1000 words if I have to ;)

Week 7 Summary:

Hey people! Stuff happened this week, nothing much of consequence. Only M'Hunters and VS swapped places with M'Hunters back in the lead. Right now, M'Hunters have one of the strongest records in this season of Clan League with a 75% win rate, second to NWO in Division E. Congrats to the M'Hunters lineup! LEA is doing poorly, but another clan is doing worse, AOE of Division E. Division E has some extremes.



M'Hunters recaptured the lead with a (3-0) record this week, while VS stalled with one loss (0-1). BIA and Hydra continue the dance for 3rd and 4th with Hydra narrowing the gap by all of 1 friggen point. Each were (2-1) this week with Hydra finishing 1 3v3 (GL) and 1 2v2 (FE) game to 2 2v2 games on FE and ME for BIA

This week two tournaments declared winners, 1v1 French Brawl was won by Aldehyde of M'Hunters (the entire tournament is complete, see below for more) and 2v2 Final Earth has been won by Green Turtle and Python's Koala of Hydra (the tournament still has one game left and I will cover it another post).



CORP broke out of a prolonged rut and have won 2 games at the end of this week. Congrats! :) And the 3v3 GL team for CORP beat LEA with CORP having an AI on their team. So, CORP should be getting more wins on GL. And it also shows the skills gap that exists between LEA and the other clans right now. LEA continues its second winless streak of 14 days, its first was 19 days. With zero points so far on 2v2 and 3v3, the question is whether LEA will get any points there this season.

Congrats to Aldehyde for sweeping the 1v1 French Brawl tournament! Impressive result. Hunta of Hydra follows up in a close second with 3 clans piling up behind them. Thantos D. Ven started strong in this tournament with 2 quick wins again LEA and BIA but struggled in each of their remaining games. Private Pabse started this tournament with two boot losses to M'Hunters and Hydra, this likely seriously altered the results of this tournament. Captain Trips rounds out the tournament with a winless performance.

With M'Hunters and VS switching spots and BIA staying in 3rd, no one is close to being correct with their predictions for this division. So I'm hoping for Hydra to take 3rd and wakanarai is correct, who said that? Bad GE, showing your bias. Bad! Go outside!

A few notes to round out the week:

By now MH, VS, BIA, and Hydra have surpassed LEA's max points. These clans are now safe from relegation and I expect CORP to follow soon after. On the flip side, it also means that LEA has only one last shot to surpass CORP and escape relegation since they can't surpass anybody else.

Additionally, CORP has been eliminated from promotion. Barring some mass exit of clans from the league or a slip past LEA, it looks like they will be in Divison C for the next Clan League (if they choose to participate).

Personal thoughts: I have come to appreciate GE's frequent and substantive updates. I really hope Hydra can take third or maybe even 2nd so that next League's division B will have more of those erotic graphs (if GE still wants to do it at that point).

That aside, he made a comment on Division E having the most extremes. I think this makes sense in most clan leagues, that the newest divisions would have the most extremes, because in Division E, they're throwing together a few C-tier, D-tier and E-tier clans, which makes the C-tier (like NWO) stomp others, and get some really easy wins off of the E-tier clans (like AOE).

Private Pabse started this tournament with two boot losses to M'Hunters and Hydra, this likely seriously altered the results of this tournament.

He would have lost both games anyways.

@ox AOE isn't even division E tier. Seriously, they won like 4 games in over 50 games and at least 1 by boot. They should maybe focus more on diplo games or get better at strategical gaming before joining Clan League again.

Yeah but that is with clans beloning to div C or D being in div E (as per Ox's post). :P Also many of their losses were boots, for example Sun Luna basically disappeared shortly after season started and that was their potential MVP.
It looks like strat-wise they peaked at RPCL2 (despite it being Paralympics lol) but instead of improving even more from there they just decayed.

How RPCL can compare to CL strategically speaking?

HAWKS werent much better in CL7.

@Benoit: RPCL is about a Division D level. You have CORP, TJC, and TLW typically leading the pack (although AOE won RPCL2) in Division 1, and Division 2 is more of the upstart clans like EIC. The thing is, CORP and TJC use it as a training ground for their second string while TLW doesn't really put much effort into its roster. So the results don't translate well to CL8.

In the case of AOE, they also lost their core good players between RPCL2 and CL8, so it's just not the same clan competing this time around. It's more of a fast trainwreck.

Well a week and a half have passed and its time for another update.





Things keep on chugging along. It seems like this is the new pace, about 6 games finishing each week. Shocking to no one at this point, M'Hunters and VS then Hydra and BIA are paired up still. BIA now has an distinct edge over Hydra with Hydra being one loss behind BIA. Its a tight race with no room for error, though according to Hydra's internal predictions for the season we still will edge out BIA. But the entire plan has zero room for error. And in response to Hydra's surprise win over M'Hunters on 2v2 China, BIA beat VS on 2v2 Final Earth that I was not expecting so, touche BIA. Touche.....

Now onto two different 2v2 tournaments: 2v2 China and 2v2 Final Earth.



The 2v2 China tournament has been stuck for a long time. The first 6 games quickly finished up and have been waiting on Hydra, CORP, and M'Hunters to get their shit together and just finish their games! This wasn't helped by a 28 day vacation that psykkoman of CORP went on. And now that psykkoman is off vacation, and booted in both games #CORProblems, Thanatos D. Ven is now on vacation that wont break until next week. But to blame CORP for the delay isn't entirely true. All the while, the Hydra vs. M'Hunters game that started June 18th ended more then two months later (vacations weren't a big factor). We just play slow. Anyways, that's my little rant of 2v2 China.

Congrats to Green Turtle and Python's Koala of Hydra for winning the 2v2 Final Earth tournament! And this tournament has longer games then 2v2 China and 2v2 ME, I guess those other tournaments are a bunch of stallers for finishing after Final Earth ;)

So, a super tight race where Hydra and BIA edged out M'Hunters and VS which is surprising to me. The fact that Hydra managed to win all 5 games is surprising to me and to Green Turtle and Python's Koala which said each and every game was like walking a tightrope to victory.

But congrats to the group, this was a surprising result, lets see where the rest of the season goes for 2v2s!
