If a white guy got shot by the police for no good reason it would make the news, just as this did.
Bullshit. It would make the local news for a few days until the court case comes around, and it
might get national headlines for a single day. No continuous coverage, no outcries from organizations, no protests.
There are not nearly as many cases of brutality against whites. Like Sharpe said, the unjustified ones make the news all the same.
The cases that make the national news for more than one day are the ones that will rake in the views AKA not cases with White victims.
There are more White people killed by cops, how is that not more brutal?
I agree with you all that brutality in general is the issue, but the fact of the matter is, that media and society doesn't give a shit about bad cop cases unless the victim is a minority. Hell, YouTube is a better source for viewing true brutality/actual racist cops than any news media.
Yeah both of them are trying to derail this into a shit show about race, like how the liberal media does with all the shootings,
I think they were saying those things in response to the nation's response (which is shouting "RACISM"). A quote from Michael McClanahan of the NAACP: "What we're going to do is root out the 1% of bad police officers that go around being the judge, the jury and executioner of innocent people, period,
but more specifically, innocent black lives." No need to make it more specific when race isn't the issue. But that's what this country does.
it is still not certain as to whether or not the victim even had a gun. He likely had one in his pocket or something, but it hasn't even been confirmed yet (unless I missed something?)
Yeah, the dude had a gun. So far, it doesn't seem he was reaching out for it.
