Hmmmm, we got our entire active CL lineup -Pana on the Outlaw move, and also lots of other good players that weren't lined up for the CL. I doubt that the consequence of this will be a 3 divisions dropout hahaha

Didn't that happen with Lynx though?

Nah, Lynx actually had to work their way up from the bottom while {101st} kept the spot. Clan League has been pretty heavily criticized for that decision, and their decision with XS/ONE! effectively reversed that precedent.

Markus will be joining Outlaws today, he's just saying his goodbyes and anything else that needs to be said in 101sts forums.

Plat will give an official announcement soon outlining the reasons for the new clan.

I don't think XS/ONE really reversed the precedent. Rather, Lynx/101st was just an outlier, and a big mistake by the Clan League committee. Before Lynx/101st, there was also BIA/CPU, and the CL ruled in favor of BIA getting CPU's spot since a majority of CPU's players had moved to BIA. Something that should be mentioned is that in these other situations, the clan that the players left was fine with giving the new clan the spot (in Lynx/101st case, and BIA/CPU case). With XS/ONE, it was simply one player who had kicked everyone out of XS, and wanted the CL spot for XS to screw ONE. So none of these issues are direct parallels to this case, unless 101st becomes inactive and has no desire to compete in the CL.

My opinion is that both clans have a solid claim to the Clan League spot. Outlaws had more players play this previous season, while 101st has been the ones to get them to that position. Here are the possibilities I see:

1. 101st ends up like a dead clan. Outlaws gets the CL spot.

2. 101st and another clan merge into 101st, meaning that the other clan's spot can be used by 101st, and Outlaws get 101st's current spot.

3. 101st maintains a high level of activity and recruits some skilled players. Both 101st and Outlaws want 101st's clan league spot. Both have solid claim to it. At this point, there are 2 options. The clans could leave it up to the CL committee to decide, or they could work it out themselves. One way to work it out would be to have a competition between the two clans, where the clan that wins gets 101st's CL spot.

At this point, all we can do is wait and see what becomes of 101st, as that will determine whether the CL spot will become an issue. As the next season of the CL nears, then we can make a decision on this.

The issue is that the clan that doesn't have the claim gets pushed to Div E or F. Someone gets screwed over each way.
