I love the fact we lately have seen a lot of new players here, but NOT ONE of them knows how to surrender, I've wasted a good hour of my life I reckon, waiting for time to run low to boot, mean while the person who loses has no concept of this fact and is blissfully starting another game to lose so another person can be as annoyed as me!

Fizzer, is there any way you can teach noobs in the single player game about surrendering!???!!!??!?!?!?!?!

Also, the noob I just played had a 50% boot rate, any chance you could put an option in peoples profiles so they never have to play people with a boot rate more than say 1-2%.

Get a membership. You can decide things like minimum/maximum number of days since player signed up, number of games played, currently playing, boot rate, average movespeed, and the list goes on.

Great point ^^^ You can also set minimum games played of opponents and weed out the complete noobs.

In my defense though, I got booted from like 25-40 games when I went inactive for like two months. Makes my gargantuan boot rate only like enormous instead

I like Bonch posts so this isn't against him per-say. But I am surprised that people complain about new players. I like leading a noob army in 3v3. It's an exercise in leadership. You try to get people to talk to me and respect my plans. Besides, we were all new here once, too. Just like we are all immigrants here in America (and other places around the world).

Vespasian's right just think of leading a noob army as a challenge, we were all new here one time, the newbies here who continue playing will slowly learn anyway.

I could do with some mentoring. The cards system is freaking me out. When to use what, or rather when NOT to use a specific card is beyond me.

How about it? Anyone willing to put up with a newb and help him out? I wont mind being part of a newb group with a seasoned player as the General.

All kidding aside, tho, what are all y'all's thoughts on a mentoring system for this game?

And Vespasian, perhaps you mean we're all descendants of immigrants in America? Cuz I live here, and was born here, and therefore didn't immigrate here, and out of all the people I know, the vast majority are also naturally born US citizens (though I do know plenty of immigrants as well). Descendants of immigrants though, I can buy that. Even the Amerindians mostly walked over the Bering Land-bridge.

I was just politely disputing the point... There have been many many generations of natural born US citizens, so very many of us here now are pretty far removed from the closest ancestor who could technically be called an "immigrant"... So ok, i don't mind the fact we have to play them, they are fun and to be honest I've helped a few out myself, I've offered tips to noobs and even played auto to give them help then voted to end with them.

Check the chat, they gave up but had no idea of the concept of surrendering....

When I started this game I had no idea how to surrender.

I think that in the level 1 or 2 of the single player there should be an explanation where to find the surrender button and why it´s better to surrender than being booted because.

My favorite was the guy who typed 'gg' in the chat, but then kept playing until I eliminated him two turns later.

I dont agree with filtering based on boot rate. Just as much as people dont surrender people dont accept surrenders.

Ive been in games I clearly lost but people refuse to accept my surrender. I dont feel like sitting around for 10 turns until Im wiped out. So I end up being booted.
