Masters (1) benefit further from the boots this season, picking up a free win from their former 2nd place competitor Lynx. Jz and master of desaster also contribute 6 points each by winning two games for a total of 12 additional points to Masters' TP. However (and this is the most important news of the week), they have finally been defeated! The honor goes to PJ017 for defeating Master Jz in Strategic Greece. Wowee!

ONE! (2) SHOOT up, doing astoundingly well with a 4-1 score this week and total net gain of 10 points! They pass Lynx's Points Contested Percentage, in part due to Andy's boots, to claim second place with their tremendous performance so far.

Lynx (3) suffer badly, with Andy getting booted in a total of 4 1v1 games. Hades saves Lynx's week from being a total trainwreck by picking up a win against a tough opponent in African Elitism.

Turtles (4) have a busy week, going 5-3 in total. They have a net gain of only two points even though they won two more games than they lost due to one of their losses in 3v3 Europe (the highest weighted point category). However, Turtles, as expected, are starting to pick up a lot of their points from 1v1 games - their forte - and are tied with Masters and ONE! for most 1v1 points currently.

French (5) break even at 2-2 this week, however, they also have a net gain of two points due to their win in RoR being worth 2 points more than their other completed 1v1 games.

Outlaws (6) do modestly this week, with 2 wins and three losses (all losses from 1v1 games). Despite this fact, their net point loss this week was only -2, in part due to one of their wins coming from a higher weighted 2v2 game.

Blitz (7) just keeps slipping, coming close to passing under the 150 MP mark now. They are 1-6 this week.





I will now be updating every Wednesday as well, as the pace of games continues to grow exponentially.

Awesome update.

We have to start winning more games then losing in these upcoming weeks to shorten the gap between us and the clans above. Masters look unstoppable at the moment with a crazy start and ONE! Being 2nd is also wasn't expected.

I doubt anyone expected CL to be like this...

Guys, that is incredible performance so far! I guessed you will be decent in the team games, but I wouldn't have thought this awesome start in the 1vs1 tourneys :O

Here's how much clans have been affected by boots (ignoring boots where booted team was 
at a disadvantage):

Masters and One doing exceptionally well and have not had a single boot (in a game they weren't 
losing already) this league. Turtles and Outlaws also not too bad with a single boot each 
(again in games they weren't already losing).

Actually quite evenly distributed there, but quite clear French have suffered the worst,

better point percentage without boots, but doesn't actually lose any position due to French's 
boots and the large gap between lynx and ONE. Blitz is still quite far off outlaws even without 
the boots. 

But congrats to ONE and Masters. Hopefully they can keep a clean sheet bootwise throughout the league.

somebody in Masters managed to get booted 8 times in 2 games last season, can you do better plebs?

Oh yeah, dammit tacky, invalidating my stats like that, not cool. I think it was just the 1 game against you MoD. The others were all team games. But Ouch.

To be fair, their was no boot to AI in EU, which has severely limited our booting capacity. Fricking rigged if you ask me.

Disappointing for us with Tacky. The clan is very disappointed with recent developments of Tacky, Gets booted in all CL games , Suddenly goes inactive puts vacation on and leaves no message.

This is how he repays me, when the guy is relied on to replace some of his fellow clan mates giving all the reasons in the world to be included.

Apologies to clans directly involved and to the CL organisers for potentially rruining a relegation fight. This will haunt me for the rest of CL and will lead to me being taking as less risk as possible.

Kids will be kids, Just kick them and move on.

Stop trying to compete with us in boots.

Masters (1) lose another 1v1 game, but otherwise are still going very strong. They are 3-1 this week, with a net gain of 7 points.

Lynx (2) are undefeated this week with two wins, a great improvement since their boot-fest last week. Hades picks up all their 6 gained points on African Elitism.

ONE! (3) go 1-2 this week. They have a net loss of 3 points, and consequently fall to third place.

Turtles (4) lose their only game completed at the time of this update, but it doesn't hurt their ranking significantly.

French (5) lose one game, but pick up a great win on AE to remain unchanged. They are less than 3% away from Turtles' Points Contested Percentage, so any further completed games between the two can switch each others' rankings.

Outlaws (6) both win and lose a 1v1 game, and otherwise remain at equilibrium.

Blitz (7) lose 7 points this week (a 1v1 + 2v2 game), and are one point away from going under the 150 Max Points (MP) mark.

Lynx have dug out of the hole caused by Andy's boots slightly, while ONE! lose a couple of games to swap places with Lynx. ONE!'s bulk of points come from their 1v1s so far, while the two clans above them have an equal spread in all three formats. As mentioned before, the gap between Turtles and French is almost nonexistent; expect to see much shifting in between 4th/5th place because of that fact. Outlaws and Blitz continue to fall further away from the pack.

Masters (1) finish the week strong by grabbing a nice 5-point win in Rise of Rome, while only losing one 1v1 game due to a boot.

Lynx (2) haven't dropped a game yet since andy's mass boot streak, and continue racking up 1v1 wins with 3 more completed games since Wednesday.

ONE! (3) are on fire lately. They have the highest points from 1v1s currently with 33 points (courtesy of PJ outperforming everyone in 1v1s so far), and have also remained undefeated this week. They pick up the most wins since Wednesday with a grand total of 4 1v1 wins (and in fact have the same number of wins as Lynx but two losses fewer), however, Lynx remains ahead of them due to their overall better team-game performance.

Turtles (4) also do well this week by picking up two team-game wins instead of 1v1 wins. For a clan who was supposed to dominate 1v1s but underperform on team games, they're doing pretty well in team games so far.

French (5) bear the brunt of the 1v1 losses this week, with 3 losses since Wednesday (two from losing to PJ and two from Niko) and no wins. Marechal Lannes threatens to go 0-6 in Greece unless he can beat linberson of Blitz (who also hasn't won a game yet).

Outlaws (6) fare the worst this week by losing a single game in every format (1v1, 2v2 and 3v3) for a total loss of 12 points since Wednesday.

Blitz (7) have fallen under the 150 Max Point (MP) mark and don't show any signs of slowing down.

All in all, some of the placings have started to become very prominent. Masters sit very comfortably at 1st place, and this competition is theirs to lose at this point. Lynx/ONE! are relatively equal (their Points Contested Percentage margin is less than 1%); while Lynx has 7 more points that ONE!, ONE! has a 3 point higher MP ceiling than Lynx. Turtles are not far behind 2nd/3rd; a good couple of weeks can put them in the contest for second. However, after 4th there is a noticeable dropoff as French has both a sizeably smaller Total Points score and MP ceiling compared to 4th place. Outlaws are a greater fraction away from 5th, while Blitz is even farther still from 6th place. The relegation spots seem to have been established assuming that the pattern of finished games continues the way it has been so far, but it is important to note that either clan still could (theoretically) play their way out of relegation.

PJ017 is already 8-1 this season :O. ONE! must be regretting not maxing him out. He is by far the standout 1v1 performer. Will be interesting to see if the rest of ONE can perform to a similar level on 1v1s. Their teams look quite strong and they may even win it this season!

That 3v3 RoR against Outlaws was ugly as hell and could have gone either way. I think their position is a bit misleading as they have faced Masters/Lynx in a lot of tournaments. I'm sure they'll eventually give the French a run for their money.

Before anyone gets too caught up in the rankings, it bears mentioning that even at a later stage than this last season, apex was even farther behind GG than Outlaws are behind French. We all know how that turned out. There are still a lot of games to be played, and anything could happen.

@Beren The format back then meant team games finished later on, and we all know that team games pretty much decide the rankings.

Maybe some more boots might change things up.

There are also still games where Tac(ky)tical was booted that haven't been completed. Obviously Outlaws can still win games even if he turns into an AI, but in the most competitive division where small mistakes like boots cost you, it's hard not to imagine clans capitalizing on those games.

Depends on the template , Tacky got booted on picks against Turtle. On a template as technical as EU I think boots would have a more drastic effect then boots on Guiroma. Master Turtle got booted against us in our game and the AI played very good moves in fact.

Really , When a clan gets boots there has to be a punishment for it. The trick is to avoid these situations .
