Well deserved. CL would actually be the chance to prove yourself to be as good as you claim to be. Why not try to be on MH roster?

LOL I dont claim anything! It's not by guiding some noobs in RT games that I claim anything. Or that I'm better than some random noobs ok I claim that if you want. But you'll never hear me talking about my level. Anyway this is not of public interest.

Well my plan is as follows : 1v1 ladder, then MDL, then another ladder or CL. And tbh, the day I try CL, it won't be in division A. I just played in RCL which only was 3 team games and did well, but in CL I wouldnt risk to let my clan down so would rather gauge my level in B or C first. I would most certainly struggle in B already.

CL is just unsustainable the way it is run now. A 9-month commitment for an event that could easily take a day? GTFO. Its not really a shock that so many clans are going to drop immediately after by far the longest CL.

Never seen such a non-statement before, good luck with taking one day 'easily' for a clan league.

Let's say you have Jack the Cocaine Rabbit playing all slots for your clan.
Jack the Cocaine Rabbit plays very fast.
Jack the Cocaine Rabbit has to play 18 slots.
Jack the Cocaine Rabbit has to play 5 games for each slot.
Jack the Cocaine Rabbit has to play about ~10 turns for each game.
Jack the Cocaine Rabbit has to play about 900 turns in one day.

Jack the Cocaine Rabbit has ran out of stamina after 100 turns, sorry

Edit: Jack the Cocaine Rabbit is not on cocaine, it's just a nickname

Any increase in roster size/decrease in templates allowed would most certainly accelerate this consolidation of talent. Right now, a great player may not go to an elite clan, because they are not assured of being able to compete in CL for a clan that already has a great roster. Force bigger rosters and you will see more players flock to the best clans.

Especially since an up and coming clan, that is maybe carried by a really good player, will be able to rely on them less, and less likely to climb the ladder.

If you want to reduce poaching, don't force bigger rosters. If you say, only allowed 3 players per clan (this is an extreme example that would be bad), then you'd see talent disperse more.

Farrah, that's part of my point that jack the cocaine rabbit is playing that many games. It's one of the many issues in clan league. If the rules were set up a little better, there'd be 5 games per tourney and a limit of 2 tourneys per player. You can't get 10 games done in a day?

Just making fewer games isn't a solve all solution, as we also need to address how long turns take. Hopefully the vacation limit (which should be 10 days per clan league...it's too high where it is) will help out with that. Honestly, I think the 3 day timeframe is too long as well, but that's just me. Guys who milk it can make a game last fucking forever and hold up the whole tourney.

Also need to address one game delaying a second getting started. Hopefully the set schedule will be timed right so that games don't all get clumped together or too spread out.

i cant play 10 games in a day if i am to play them propperly, not even close. also this game is sequential so to say that you could do it that fast is a joke i think. i cant even seeing it be done in 30 days, unless only players that can commit to being online 12+ hours a day is allowed to play

lol I'm not suggesting it should be played in a day, only that it could.

You guys want to get hung up on an alleged technicality? Fine. I'll stretch it out to say that CL could easily be played in 2 days. If you tell me you can't play 5 proper games in a day I'll call you a liar right here and now. (Still not saying this SHOULD be done, only that it could).

The heart of my point remains that CL takes wayyyy longer than it should. After CL9, I know I for one def can't commit to another clan league. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Am I the only one who doesnt have a problem with the CL being a slow competition? The way it happens atm might be a bit too long, but Id rather complete 1,5 CL every year than 3 every year. Its isnt a race to see who can play RT the best or who can play the most games in the least amount of time.

I have no issue with the speed of it. Never have.

The only reason speed matters is people hop clans. It seems like they are addressing that...maybe the speed chatter should wait until we see how the new rules play out in the next league?

I think that the new rule of CL that forces people to stay within their clan for ALL the duration of a CL season will cause some management issues for the clans that are susceptible to be poached. We'll see how it goes but it seems like it might forces managers of mid-tier clans to do more management than before.

Let's say for example a player of clan x playing in division C is poached from division A or B while the manager of clan x is on vacations. The new games of the player that has left the clan x will be automatic losses since the manager isn't there to make the substitutions needed in order to prevent further losses.

So now we are asking people to not only be committed for 9 or more months to CL but also to their original clan during all that time span. I am pretty sure that that issue have been discussed before but I just wanted to reiterate that particular situation because I feel it is an important one. I think clans should be allowed to put new people on their roster during a season if others have left their clan because it would only be fair that if you lose some guys of your overall roster, you are allowed to bring new ones in.

Yep, sadly that is the conclusion I have reached too.

I can't say that during a period of 9 months I will login every 3 days. Even with 7 (5 for non-M) vacations, that is an quite extreme commitment. It is not hopping clans, it is the "always be online" that gets to people I think. Getting booted is tworst after all.

While I hope that the next CL will be 3x faster, I don't know if I can take the chance. However, at least sub is a thing. Maybe I can commit for 1 month? I will see when CL10 gets around to start...in January?

(Maybe it is worth looking at what Fizzer is doing to. Quickmatch is 24h turn games, so presumably they are more popular then 3days boot? Might not apply to O Glorius strat Clan ppl, but still a footnote)

You don't need to make a 9 month commitment, even if the next season ends up being the long. 1v1 tournaments will each happen only in half of the season. And the fact that people can be subbed in and out means that you aren't committed for the duration as long as your clan manager is active enough to actually substitute you.

Well, if I was in a clan with -say 12- members. Odds are someone will be "forced" to play 9 months, when they don't want to. Even for MH that could happen, through we are more likely to find a sub ofc. You can't just throw someone who don't want to play a 3v3 game on a 3v3 game after all. 1v1's are way easier to fill and sub in/out.

Agreed with Tbest. Imagine how fucked 7th Heaven or such small clans will be if they have too much departures from their clan (totally hypothetical ofc).

Benoit I believe you said you hadnt read through the CL suggestions forum and their reply correct?

You should really read that so that what you talk about is, even in your own eyes, relevant and accurate for the next CL. First thing that might catch you eye is that there is going to be a mid season re-registration kind of period where teams can move players in an out and such. Secondly it wouldnt require 9 months of CL I believe. You will know when all your games will be created so as long as you (and the opponent) play them quickly then you should have a reasonable estimate of when your games finish. If you dont play them quickly then it is your own fault, if opponent does not play quickly then they will have their games pile up and that puts a lot of pressure on them (which would be their own fault).

I would suggest watching the livestream vod at least, it is really informative.
