Nicely done Edge! Definitely a fun read, and I like the system that you used to evaluate clans. It takes some balls to come out and say what you think of everyone lol. Much appreciated that you did so, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Obv I disagree with some things, but also you made some good points that bumped up or downs some clans in my eyes.

@Naglfar, what clans do you think Prussian Grande should be above and why?

Edit: 1 suggestion for the next time we do clan rankings. Maybe we should cap it at the top 10 players per clan. That should give a more consistent evaluation method from large clans to smaller clans.

Overall ranking is pretty accurate,certainly a lot more than the individual one. The knowledge of inner workings and talent within the clans seems to decrease further down the list you go.

I'd say this is by far the most comprehensive and accurate clan ranking list to date. Also, it should not be too hard for people to fill the blanks on this "template" table to get their own list which is a handy tool. Furthermore, combining such results as mentioned would give high accuracy to the average list, excluded trolling and too much bias.

EDIT : It's also going to be useful to keep track of how things develop in the future. I am sure in 2 years we'll have a very different list. And unlike comparing this with Benji's list, comparison of lists compiled via the same method will make much more sense.

FCC merged with the High Kings. That could put them higher (See what i did there?) and ofc Blitz would have been fallen, due to some important people leaving the clan. GG would have probably taken a small gap between them and the 4th place as well.

Agree. You can give 11 points to "insane players" for people who are expert in all format and can fit every template format easily!
The more points and classes, the more the ranking is well built!

I think if we just reduce the numbers in the 10 point category and put the non mod/Buns guys into the 9 point category, it might be better.

If someone else or even myself is doing it the next time, it would be probably a good idea to put some experienced players together to agree as a group on the players in these categories, since especially these categories are the most subjective ones.

Surprised Outlaws got ranked 5th

Even more surprised nobody has challenged that...

I currently could see ONE! challenging that (considering their really surprising performance on this year's CL division A) and maybe French because they managed to stay in division A for quite some time already and do well there. I don't really see other clans though that could challenge that 5th place for Outlaws as we are speaking right now.

The somewhat underwhelming performance of Outlaws in Division A of CL of this year (might be due to external factors, probably not related to their skills) surely can make us question if they are indeed the 5th best clan, but other factors like performances on MDL ladder and other ladders and general tend to show Outlaws have a lot of skills. I personally wondered why Outlaws did not do so well in this CL, wondering if they belonged in A at some point, but the explanations I got from Plat made me realize why they are in the position of survival they are right now. One thing is for sure, Outlaws I think can't be ranked (for now) more than 4th (according to Edge's ranking system) and no lower than 7th I would believe.

I could definitely see Turtles arguing about that 4th place under GG though, the later having ran into some hard times in division A of CL8 for probably various reasons (not necessarily only skills).

Considering how ONE! lost a some very good players like Mifran, Hello, Nox and Pardon to other top clans but still manage to pull out such a performance in CL9 is really admirable. If they can stop losing top players like that, they should probably aspire to great things because the way they recruit and train people seems to be really excellent!

Outlaws were ranked 5th due to the additions of Odin and Widzisz who didn't participate in CL for us. Both have gave us a higher rating. Without them we would have dropped to a 7.6, so that would have put us slightly behind One and on the same rating as the French Community.

CORP looks accurately placed in this (although I'd count Orange instead of HHH because of the latter's inactivity, which propably still yields the same rating).

Funny to see clans like Vikinger and Blitz (who placed high) already off the map.

You took into account only 6 7th Heaven players with about 9 playing for them in CL?

Yeah i can't judge about someone who never proofed himself on a ladder. Win rates can be highly inflated so i excluded those kind of players. I think the 6 7th Heaven players i included are the 6 who are playing for them in C now.

This list is useless. There's no mention of Anime women anywhere!
