Tour Race update - Live Ranking

It was a long time ago with the last Live Tour Race update, it’s time to see how this live race stands.

  • The TOP25 on the 2021 Tour Race based on results from the finished and ongoing events so far:

  • Around 672 games have been finished since the last update, and so far a total of 1824/3918 (46.6%)
    (These are approximate numbers because I register new players from finished events only once a month and the winnings of these new players are not counted by automation until that)

  • Some comments:
    • As a reminder, the score of the 16th, last qualified player in previous seasons:
      • 2018 - 2075 points
      • 2019 - 1510 points
      • 2020 - 1725 points
    • Jake and Malakkan have passed the 2k points so have a pretty good chance for the qualification.
    • But even for everyone else, as there are still plenty of opportunities to score points.
    • However, I have a feeling there will be a bigger fight for qualifying places this year, so better if you not leave your more serious fight for the last minute ;)

  • Who will be the 16 fighters who will fight for the 2022 AWP Tour Champion title?! :)

You must have noticed that the quality of my AWP competition organization work has deteriorated recently, with a lot of delays.
One reason for that is that I’m very busy IRL lately, but the other, more problematic reason is that my motivation has dropped a lot :|

Looks like after more than 5 years of organizing AWP events, it’s time for a break for me.

That means I'm still finishing the administration of this year’s regular season, but from 2022, I’m not going to organize more regular season (although I will probably be organizing the 2022 Tour Finals)

However, this does not necessarily mean that the AWP World Tour is over, as if there is someone (or a group) who feels like further organizing, the Tour can live on ;)

Currently, my organization tasks for the regular season of the AWP World Tour include the following times:
- less than 10 minutes per week (starting the Tour events)
- less than 2 hours per month (keeping rankings, records and other monthly tasks)
- in addition, a few hours per year for year-end closing, template pool updating and other improvements
But these times can be reduced much further with additional automation and the elimination of a few unnecessary administration tasks ;)

So whoever feels like further organizing the AWP World Tour from 2022, write me a PM!
