About the bonuses:
There is 4 type of countries,
1) Dwarf countries, 0 - 100 000 residents
2) Small countries, 100k - 5 milions
3) Middle size countries, 5 mil.- 30 mil.
4) Big countries, more then 30 mil.
B-sum of bonuses
Nt-number of territories
C- centrality of bonus.
Nb- national bonus
Sb-sub bonuses
Capital city bonus is not included in this calculation.
For 1) is 1 army per turn. Maybe it should be 2,3, 4 or even 5??? Please vote for any of this.
2) Small countries is not absolutely based on population number - you notice that for Iceland or Slovenia... I have add for 2 mil. countries one more point. Reason for this is that countries doesn't have sub bonuses.
B=Nt+x*Nt (x=0,15-0,5, it depends on C), here B is actually Nb.
3) Nt=2*Nb (+-1 or 2, depends on C)
B=Nb+Sb (Value of Sb depends of Nt and C)
4) Nt=2*Nb-(0,15*2*Nb), /+-1-2, depends of C/, Nt is as you can see, smaller for big countries and they will have the biggest B.
B=Nb+Sb (Sb depends of Nt and C)
Big countries is hard to conquer and more harder to keep it so it will have biggest B/Nt.
B/Nt: 4>3>=<2>1 in case that 1) have 1 point
We see here that 3 and 2 countries can be equal, small countries may be more valued and inversely. It all depends on C.
