Some years ago, I considered myself a feminist. It stood for equal rights and better job opportunities for us women. Nowadays I consider myself an egalitarian, but not a feminist.
Why? Well, most of the feminists I've come across do not really want equal treatment, but better treatment than men. They hate men and would love to make them suffer just for being born with a penis. I have many male friends and it just doesn't come across well when I talk about them in a positive light in front most of my feminist acquintances.
As you can guess, almost none of those feminists I know have a boyfriend. Many, though not all, of them are (way) overweight. So in a way I can understand them being frustrated and angry, but it's still not right to start hating all men because of that. Men have the right to choose their partners just as women do.
Clearly, I'm not alone with my thoughts. This post in particular made me feel great disgust towards many people who consider themselves feminists.

I've learned to know Warlight as a community of (rather) smart and tolerant people, mainly male, and I thought people here could relate better to my thoughts than in most other places.
