Another way to address it might be to have super promotions (like the promo league has when a division is swept). So that if a clan wins by a certain margin, they are super promoted two divisions. This would help address the lack of competition in certain leagues when a new clan starts at the bottom.

with just three groups and such a vast difference in skill between them, that's just an overkill, and for some clans, it would be the only way to get to A..

Chris, you have missed the post

from Khalid, the new 101st management, at page 5
>I am one of the newly appointed clan leaders in 101st and I agree with JSA. Lynx players earned the spot in Group A. Why would they be kept out of that deserved spot when they have not cheated? They earned it, let them keep it. We will start at the bottom of the clan league and work our way up.

Anyways, folks!

Lynx is an extension of the 101st. 101st will not be participating except through Lynx. Those in the 101st that wish to participate will have to improve and be promoted to Lynx. Lynx will represent 101st in the Clan League.

Problem solved, round a beer on the house!

I'm not stopping anyone. I'm just guarding the rules. If you want to treat Lynx as separate clan, they can compete, but starting form the bottom. That's all I'm saying. It's not that big a deal - they will "easily" go up.. like 20 or GG.. and as for 101st - on skype pushover put an example of VIW - After losing their top players for example to GG, no one expected them to stay in group A, but so far they put a good fight, and were able to hold their spot. So what I'm saying is - i don't want Lynx to abandon 101st AND backstab them by kicking them out of their group. This is ridiculous. There was a clear rule. Some people have ignored it with Bia/xcd situation, but it doesn't make me any less strict. New clans start from bottom. period. no cheat allowed. we've had enough of this shit already - especially in the recent weeks.

I know that. All I'm saying is Lynx is competing for the 101st, so 101st won't get a chance to play.

This seems to be how the posts have gone in this thread (note that many posters are not official leader of clans):

Rules are rules, the precedent was set with GG and 20 starting from bottom:
apex
WM
WG
20
XCD
rp
Warlighters

Lynx should be in A because most of their players got the win (or competition reasons):
VIW
REGL

Have people on both sides of issue:
Blitz
Masters

Not sure where to put Widz. His idea would be a viable solution, if all people wanted to just switch clans.

lynx can't decide that 101st cant play! poor 101st! though it seems like lynx will not stop this before they get what they want, and it will be ridiculous if they destroy 101st's chances of having fun, so as i see it now, the best opportunity is to be kind and overlook this rule once. though i support this "rules are rules", so dont listen to me! i dont even know where north is anymore. #pizzawithmeatballs

I don't think there would be an issue with Lynx players playing under 101st banner this season, but doesn't that just delay the inevitable issue? What happens when 101st players want to play in clan league? You will have same issue then. Lynx will be forced to start from bottom then.

Widz solution is a valid one, though a pain in the ass for people that have the clan tag in their actual name (which is a good reason to ditch clan tags in names entirely). Why not just have the elite portion of 101st stay in 101st, and have the rest split off to the new clan Lynx? Apollo started 101st, so I don't really see any issue with that (he is original owner of clan).

Chris, as stated already.

"Those in the 101st that wish to participate will have to improve and be promoted to Lynx."

Lynx and 101st are still tied together. Those in the 101st wanting to represent will improve their game and be promoted to *Lynx.

After all of my input into the 101st, I don't see how you can say that. I find it hard to receive that. I did not follow the orginal plan of the split. But after I thought about it, I thought it was best. There's a massive range of skill in our clan, never if we had stayed together. A 101ster would have had a chance to take part in any event. But now we are giving them this chance. So we can't be stoping them from having fun at all. Bananashake no offense but seriously your not helping.

I'm still thinking on it...

I think Lynx deserve the place in group A they have earned it
101st is not a victim most people in Apollo;s shoes would have just kicked most of 101st and made that Lynx but he decided to let them stay basically gave them a clan and now we want to punish him and make him start from the bottom?

Hauptmann- I am just saying what happens when 101st are not fine with that relationship (of not participating in the clan league)? I assume that is OK now or you would not be saying it. But eventually that will change and 101st will want to compete. There would also be some confusion because you are actually an officially different clan. I am not saying that confusion cannot be overcome, it just seems odd.

Apollo - is your last post regarding my comments or Hauptmann?

I don't disagree with the split at all (not that it is my place to approve or not). We went through the same thing with P and did the same. Fortunately, there were no divisions in the clan league then, so this type of issue never occurred for us.

Ineffable - I agree from a logical standpoint, but the rules have not been clear. GG was forced to start over, but BIA was not. It has not been %100 consistent.

If Lynx is to compete in A division, then it must be an official rule (something like the slot moves if more than half the participants in the previous league move) in writing so that the same thing happens in every case. It would be an establishment of a new precedent, and must be followed %100. How would GG feel about this?

Your thread makes sense to me (about the relationship), but it does put a glass ceiling on those still in 101st. It is also slightly confusing to be competing under the wrong name, even if they are intertwined.

I still don't understand why you don't just keep the 101st name for the elite, and make Lynx the
training arm of 101st. It solves every issue. And if the training arm wants to compete in the clan league it simply starts at the bottom.

The only issue really is that many people would have to move clans. However, after that shuffle everything would be in perfect order from a clan naming standpoint, and in the clan league.

All you'd have to do is remove everyone from 101st, invite to Lynx, and vise versa. it would be sorted out pretty quick I would think. Then just change Lynx page to say something about how it is the proving grounds for 101st.
