Random move order alone isn't really the issue. But with the lack of blockade and gift card you really don't have any options if things go wrong early in the game. Personally I am not a big fan of games where one player has to march with big stacks for 10 turns from one side of the map to the other just because the opponents are teaming up on your partner and you got eliminated in that area early or missed out on a pick there.

Gift and / or blockade card would improve 2v2 Guiroma a lot in my opinion. I feel it might have been intentional to have a template that is a little bit different from the others and that requires a different approach (no cards, random move order). However a gift card is something I'd really like to have.

I think RMO is a bigger annoyance. It takes an integral part and skill in the game and turns it into a coin flip.
Plenty of 2v2s work well with no cards (Szeurope and China), so i think some that may improve the template, i would not say that is a big issue.

You can be sure that if a decision was made to make all CL templates cyclic move, there would be an uproar from random move fans.

That's why template voting is a great thing. It's the most practical way to check what templates people want.

Of course you were given such option. In form of choosing cycle move templates over random ones.

If random move were such a big deal, clans wouldn't have voted for random move templates.

People chose templates like Guiroma 2v2 because they like it, not really taking into account random move order or not.
We were not given the choice between Gurioma 2v2 RMO or Guiroma 2v2 Cyclic.

If you wanted Guiroma 2v2 with cyclic move order, you should've nominated it. The template panel got exactly one version to choose from, which had random move order.

Random move order is part of the template. If they like the template, either they know it's random move order, or they just say they like it and have never actually played it.

I actually think people do voted for this templates because they liked it as the 1v1 template, which is a good one. I do believe that the majority didn't took into account that the same random move order would raise the luck factor for team games as well. People didn't submitted a cyclic version, so we have to deal with it.

I do think that you can't underestimate the luck factor on this particular template and ultimately less skill is needed. In general i don't think random move order should be used in team games. In certain 1v1 games it's acceptable. I can't remember that i ever saw a team template that was better due to random move order. It just reduces the skill, which means that templates like this 2v2 Guiroma aren't good suited for high level competitions like CL.
