I don't under-rate WG, In fact, I think WG is possibly the best clan in history in terms of underperforming in CL History, being unable to promote from B the last two seasons. It's only hunger that prevented WG from promoting. WG have great players with great histories, hoping a revival.

Well, those great players with great histories either didn't play in those seasons, or, apparently, just weren't that great compared to their competition. It was a dying clan like Warlighters or REGL. Now WG might actually do better with how many new players they recruited (big shoutout to Benjamin628!), but on the other hand, they also lost some...

Eh. I'm not sure whether people underrate WG, as I honestly rarely see people say anything about them for the most part, either positive or negative.

It's a clan with a fair amount of depth, but IMO no real all-star players. Or at least, no active all-star players that can be counted on to play CL without booting.

apex, turtles, French, blitz, masters all examples for this.
For masters specifically I think its quite sad. Maybe the CL format will change at some point and give clans a different experience that makes competing with a weak roster fun as well.

@mod. Lin's source is the stream, and lack of depth/ no-one willing to play 3 slots was mentioned in the stream as the reason masters dropped out.

I don't really know more then what was said on the stream either, but Lin's statement seems accurate based on that stream. Feel free to correct it ofc.

Also the stream was fun :) Do recommend to watch it. They failed to trash talk me enough but I am sure they will get me next time. Plus all A clans are n00bs, except stats who will carry home a trophy.

It's just factually incorrect. It is quite possible you guys were Rank 1 for 1-2 days, but if you look at the weekly updates for CLX there was in no point where GG was Rank 1. Period. There were 2 weeks where you were rank 2, but promptly fell to rank 4 and lower for the rest of CL.

If we're going to talk about 'being on top briefly' for an event that lasts 6+ months, then being Rank 2 for 2 weeks does not qualify even as briefly. I'd buy it if you guys ever were Rank 1 and retained it for 3 weeks, but it's just factually incorrect.

Apex wasn't a clan that was built for depth in the first place, so given that we dominated the league for 3 seasons straight is a good enough accomplishment. Also in order to continue playing Apex would have to change its entire structure. Apex was run by unanimous vote and was really picky about recruitment until we needed to fill slots in CL. After our 3rd win it became kinda apparent to us that we were slowly degrading Apex by forcing in players we wouldn't normally in order to compete (not to say any of them were bad, but to say that the vote wasn't unanimous and took debate). This caused us to sit back and evaluate things while also dealing with people needing to retire (me joining the military..Widzisz retirement, Grona retirement etc.) We could continue competing like WG and GG decided to, but we would've demoted to B and have to reorganize and restructure contrary to the founding principles, so why do that? We made the absolutely right choice.

We need volunteers from Turtles and French Community to rage at linberson for his comments to complete the cycle
