Hmm I think that the community (in the broader sense) is doing better than it seems, but many important people have retired or gone on hiatus. What do you mean by community? You mean the strat community or the entire warlight playing community?

I'm happy to see that ladders have been active. The one thing that bothers me has been open games, which have been in a rough spot for actually years now, so it's not something new. QM is the main focus and generates the most activity, and I get that and it's fine.

I think strat is lowering (if it is) because of the growing popularity of diplos.

Warzone is like most games, too many mouths and not enough to go around. I offer a solution, eliminate half, and warzone will prosper.

The thing is, when better players leave, say level 40+ and new players join, the new players aren't as good, or even good yet. The Warzone Community is getting more people while the Warzone Community above 30 levels + is losing people. Meanwhile, the Warzone Community below 30 levels is gaining people. It's gonna take a while for the 30 levels - to get to 50 levels +. So that means Warzone is losing good players and gaining noob players. In a way that's good, in a different way that's bad.
I hope I didn't corrupt your minds so now you don't have any knowledge left for games. :)

It just goes to show, to most people everything is a fad; they come stay a bit, then go and forget about it. Why can't people just stick to what they like instead of going with whatever's new? New doesn't mean better.
