Netherlands/Germany! YOu know you have an excellent team when they beat Brazil in the 2010 cup.

england are totally fucked, which is why i have a faint sense of hope that they do well. theyre a ragtag bunch of misfits, who no-one believes in, so the stage is set for an underdog triumph.

but in the vast probability that they do shit, spain and germany look strong. it will be exciting to watch, though.

I know, that game was the most emotional game of my life :) Before, everyone thought it would be lost, and we were happy we left for the pause only one goal behind. And in the second half, suddenly, a score for the Netherlands! We thought Brazil was going to get angry for that, and they did, and got a bunch of cards, and 15 minutes later we made another goal! We only managed to keep the advance until the end, and every Dutchmen was sure Oranje was going to win this!
In the excitement we barely noticed we got two goals against us against Uruguay in the semifinals, but won it and got through. We heard some German said something like "We'll see you at the final!", but they lost from Spain and got to beat Uruguay later. But then, NL-Spain. There is a popular highway in the Netherlands, the A2, and normally it's packed with cars. But somebody took a picture of it during the final, and it was completely empty! Over half of the Dutch population watched the game, and stared at the screen for 115 minutes with a few good chances, but no actual goals. Sadly, both teams made a lot of trespassings, NL the most :( And then, after two extensions, a goal that was like a gun shot in the minds of every Dutchman watching.
A bunch of newspapers said things like "We were fooled again", and about that we would get our revenge in 2012. And now, it's finally time, and Oranje hasn't played was bad as this in two years :,(

The Netherlands have an excellent team but I hope they clean up their act, they just kicked teams off the pitch last time around. De Jong and Van Bommel were especially bad for that.

x did you not read my posts england have no chance when they played norway if they had been playing a good team e.g.spain, france or even switzerland they would have lost because in the 2nd half england were useless and that is being kind p.s.well done to the swiss for beating germany 5-3 in a friendly,if they had qualified they would have had a good chance as they are a very good team with good players but are in consistant

I don't think Spain will win. I hope The Netherlands win, but I'm afraid that Germany will win. However The Netherlands are doing the worst things (1-2 loss from Bulgaria), Germany isn't doing well either. (their latest result was 3-5 loss from Switzerland)
(I live in the Netherlands, so I'll support them).
The semi-finals will be exciting.
It will be Germany, Spain, The Netherlands (maby Portugal if the dutch screw up a game)and I think it will be Italy (After: Spain, The Netherlands and Germany the best team). So the world's best teams against eachother in wich it would be Germany against Italy (If Italy makes it so far and Germany becomes first) and The Netherlands against Spain (If Spain wins (they will) and if The Netherlands become second in their pole).
Maby it is becaue I'm dutch but I think The Netherlands deserve to win that game.
The best final would be (and there is a big possibility that it will happen)
Germany - The Netherlands. I hope The Netherlands win, but there is a big change Germany will become European Football Champion

I'm rooting for the Elftal. I really can't stand this hype around the Nationalelf anymore. Every idiot - and I mean every single one of them, even people that couldn't give two shits about club football - around here keeps on talking like they have always been an expert and a die-hard football fan about any inane TV snipped from training camp and how "Schweini" might or might not be out of form and if and how the lost CL final will impact the performance of the whole team and on and on and on. I seriously hope Germany get's knocked out in the group stage.

Poland could have won easy if you look at the first half, but in the second half Greece was better but they missed a penalty (HAHA)

True, thanks to the Dutch club PSV's goalie Przemysław Tytoń, Poland escaped a loss. Pity for Szczęsny, though.

in my opinion strongest team is germany, but u have to remember that germany and all german teams (like bayern:D) are the unluckiest guys ever, thats why i think that like 2004 this european cup could be won by an outsider like england, france russia or italy. (italy is in the same condition of 2006, (that was a really awesome year:P), big justice problems plus a quite bad team compared to other teams, even if unfortunately prandelly is not good as lippi, anyway they could have a similar reaction of pride) anyway to be completely anticonformist i'll say russia:)

Russia looked really strong tonight. they'll easily top their group, I think the Czechs could come second. Poland probably needed to beat Greece to get to the knockout stage (and now they won't have their keeper against Cz and Ru). A draw wasn't good for either of them.
