It's because of the denial.

Who says I'm attacking him? I'm agreeing, that map has no flaws! The blocky territories bring back the 90's feeling, from pong and similar games. Very nostalgic.
The randomized bulbs can be seen as a form of artistic expression. Andy Warhol would have loved it.
The gaps between the borders have a philosophical meaning. They represent the gaps between poor and rich people, and between the third world and the elite.
The missing connections are a symbol of distancing between nations, while the overlapping borders on the other hand are about the block formation that we saw in the cold war. And when you see both gaps and overlaps in a border between two territories, that is even deeper, because it represents the contradictio in terminis of bringing democracy by force.

Oh, and in case you didn't notice, "It has no flaws." is exactly what Skunk said about one of his maps.

How about making a map of Earth (or just Europe; that'll be messy enough as it is), with connections between countries that "get along"? Since everybody hates their neighbours (*) and "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" it'll be like Fizzer's "Hopscotch" map..., but worse. Because "getting along" is so extremely subjective, Moros and Skunk will have eeeeeendless opportunities for debate. And the connections will be so utterly messed up only the AI (which doesn't get confused) can make any sense at all out of it (should give it a nice advantage).

(*) Except during the EuroVision Song Contest..., obviously!

I dont ever boot. I only wait till people want me too. Im past my noob stage so the only way you will get booted is someone else booting you or auto. I make short time games because i loathe very much how I have to wait for people. I ate a whole piece of pizza and took my turn in 1 minute once.
