why would you leave 2 of your bonus and stop attacking towards one of my larger bonuses just to blockade mexico?

What do you think is the correct play there? I had a 20 in antarctica vs your 1/1. And you had the opportunity to take Central America and break my bonus in South America. I knew you were in Australia but I didn't know if you knew that I knew that.

Even now that I'm thinking hard about it, I don't know that I'd have put all of my troops in antarctica and try to break through to Australia and if I don't put a bunch of them in Central America there is a high probability you are going to take it and then have an extra bonus + 2 fronts to attack South America, even if I can hold it for that one turn.

Given all of that - what is the best play? The blockade, as with our first game, was not intended to be so big. I assumed (incorrectly) both times that you would attack me hard there, so it would be a smallish blockade.

Billy, take a look at your ladder games again. All the games you won in the long run were against lower level players. I see no games against good players that you won down the stretch. It was all in the early turns. You've been blessed by your opponents making mistakes on the ladder (except for Idfdoggy, you had 11 income by turn 2 which is tough to beat), but you did take advantage of many of them. I don't think you'll end up with above a 1900 rating within the next month at least but it's possible.

As for our next game, I am currently too busy to add another game to my list, especially one where I will need to try hard in. I will invite you to my next invintational round robin though, and you can have 19 games against only good and great players.

I don't need to take a look, I played them! you're wrong. in fact i don't think i've won hardly any games on the ladder 'quickly' except against really low ranked opponents. people put up a pretty good fight basically always.

can i get an invite to your next invitational round robin JSA? also it was obvious i was in australia, i had had that from the second turn, and yes i would have open 2 fronts with south america, but what was the point of trying to defend it with a blockade if you were just gonna give it up that turn, also you could have reduced my bonus to 9 the following turn if you had played smart while still having 13 and soon to be 18 for yourself

as i said i only thought about it for a quick second, but in that quick second i thought you would try to take central america and not go into south america on that turn. so i did not intend to give up south america. i was trying to prevent you taking central america and also limit you to one from attacking south america.

i assumed i would take antarctica on that turn and have a huge stack w/ 2 fronts on australia on the next turn. hence why i assumed the game was over and i didn't think about it....

none of these games were won quickly. if you think they were from looking at the ending positions, you need to watch the whole game.

on any given game, in the bottom left corner go to statistics, go to graphs, and go to cumulative luck, and then click view, this shows how lucky the person got turn by turn, positive being they got lucky, and negative being they got unlucky

for example in our game, your luck was way higher than mine the whole time, i in general lost 3v2s or or had fewer left over after a larger number attack and you won them and had larger stacks left over after your attacks because you had positive luck

my luck takes a nosedive while his skyrockets against one of the best players on the site and i still win. ya, i suck. all luck. can't win down the stretch.

Billy, I think you won that game against HHH pretty fairly, but you're extremely wrong about the luck. Luck matters far more in the beginning than at the end. He was behind on income compared to even if he had only even luck, and was behind what he should have had when he met you. That does have a huge influence on the rest of the game.

Surely you realize luck matters most during the early turns when you have 5-10 income?

What i see billy: you can play decently well against the big boys, HHH and those guys, but you fail against the weaker players Dharma, Samantha, jasdanmoo

I'm still winning far more than 50% against weak players, but thats an interesting thought. Perhaps I should never be losing to them. That would explain why people like 691, ryan and dead piggy are beating me.
