There is also the possibility of steganography, but I wasn't able to find anything. If there is someone qualified at steganalysis that wants to take a look, I think it would be worthwhile.

Nothing so far with stego. Not with plain analysis or Outguess with varying keywords at least.

i gave an extra set of eyes to all the above suggestions but nothing. I've even tipped over some rocks here at my place except for one in particular because it's too heavy. This nationwide search is as mysterious as ever.

I'm thinking since fizzer says hint 3 "posted" somebody - one of us - was close.

so his original post was last edited 2 days ago... he said hint post #3 today... so either he forgot, or he is talking about one of us.

So he edits it before he makes the comment, therefore it couldn't be that he forgot or rather it is exactly what hodop says and it was a technical difficulty in which Fizzer thought it saved but that it didn't and he didn't doubled check by refreshing the page and so made a booboo.

But he was also quick about it if you see the 8 seconds it took. AND there is a movie called 8 seconds, I won't spoil it. It was my favorite movie until I watched Free Willy.
