I believe they want to clear domain name. I bet they didn't check if the domain name before going to new title of the game, so their commercial management got caught in problems (which they solve form the position of pure force).

However, warzone is not original name on the internet, and there were few games released earlier with the same name including some board games and a book. Before changing domain name to warzone com, i.e. from warlight.com, there were also some conflicts with earlier users of the name (a book, now I see only second book with same name from different author).

Right now, warzone on the google.com is first sponsored choice. But, name warzone is mentioned several times on Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_zone and there is no mention of this game there, so, I guess, there are maybe even more uses of the same name.

I don't know how far Fizzer wants to keep with the issue, but, it may be too demanding and would drain too much time and resources.

This conflict is also mentioned in my country's PC magazines (with correct facts).

I will rally the 806 DARKLORDS to blocade the activision HQ.

From my own side, I would note that not all requests of a lawsuit are equal. Protecting name Warzone in COD is clearly the main goal. Then "why not get a bonus" - getting trademarks, as the case already started. Last "Granting Activision such other and further relief as the Court may deem just and proper" - that is maybe grab at least something.

Therefore "Warzone is under attack" is clearly emotional, but hardly legally correct evaluation.

I understand main battle is in USA, but in Europe Activision seems to be playing alone: https://euipo.europa.eu/eSearch/#details/trademarks/018339690 (12 days left to oppose European trademark registration). I hope it will not be Budweiser trademark situation ;)

Also I think that phrase War Zone is to general to be someone's property. Can you trademark and prohibit others to use Battle Field, maybe Web Site, maybe Holiday Cruise?

Fizzer, this is a game I have known and loved for three years. If this gets thrown out the window, who will make the great content I have seen you make? And not just me that would be affected, but EVERYONE that is on Warzone (Risk). Fizzer, although I cannot support you in your quest to defend against Activision, I will be there for you emotionally. You can do it, all you have to do is try. I believe in you, Fizzer!

Activision is clearly and undeniably breaking the law by claiming the trademark is theirs, even though CODWZ was released in 2020 and Warzone (Risk)/Warlight in 2008, all while the trademark should be yours. They may be popular (and I love one of their games), but don't get the wrong idea, if they're breaking the law AND framing you for trademark infringement that you got originally, then that's it, I'm supporting you. It's your only income and you've worked on this for 12 years straight, why should I let all your hard work go to waste? I need you, Fizzer, you made my favorite game, and I won't give up on it. I don't have the money, but you have both my support and my condolences. Good luck in the years ahead, Fizzer!

I contacted Fizzer a couple years ago with the idea to implement a system that would give players a way to play for cash against each other and that would help to grow the game. He asked me how I would do it. I wrote in detail a system down, he ignored my message after that and 6~ weeks later Coins were implemented into Warlight.I asked him in his Twitich Questions and Answering Session how he came up the idea for the coins and he answered with " just by myself" lol
