Besides, in game currency wasn’t a revolutionary idea at the time when coins were introduced. Even if you influenced him in some way, you didn’t invent the concept of in game purchases for a free to play game.

Is this relevant to the Activision topic at hand? Not sure why you chose this particular time and this particular thread to post this info. Let's assume what you say is true, you gave him an idea, he either used it or built on it, implemented it, didn't credit you for it. Now what? What is the next step? Are you asking for recognition, compensation, suggesting that b/c this happened that this has some indication regarding his proceedings with Activision...?

Also agree with Cursona, in-game currency is not a new concept, it's been done on many games and platforms long before WZ got it, and I would be shocked if Fizzer hadn't already considered it before you suggested it. No doubt many people suggest game features that he's already considered, and implementing them doesn't necessarily mean that he implemented that person's idea.

Let's test the theory ... I recommend that you respond to this thread. Now if you actually do, is it because I said you should or was it of your own volition? Or both? Or does it even matter?

I think most are missing the point here. It hardly matters who started what and on the surface Fizzer's actions have been reactionary... i.e. Filing the trademark AFTER Activision filed to trademark "Warzone". That was the clear and correct reaction. Not sure why everyone is hating on Fizzer for trying to get a few pennies from a multi-billion dollar corporation either. That too is the clear and correct reaction. Generating public support is the big thing here and I would not be surprised if some big gun lawyers jump in on the chance to

get some Activision loot boxes on Fizzer's behalf.

On a side note if you win this Fizzer how about granting lifetime membership to those who donated to your legal defense... *cough cough*

He started by explaining what this Warzone is, then goes over your/Fizzer's case in the gofundme. As part of him explaining your case, he showed off the list of streams using your category, and it was all COD streams on the list, and somehow a Fortnite stream was on the list at that time as well.

I can also personally attest to confusion between the two games. I was doing research into making maps and what kind of maps already exist. Simply typing "warzone" into google gets primarily CoD based results, so I have to do advanced searches that only pull from the warzone.com domain.

If you go on user voice, there's a bunch of people asking for various changes to "the guns."

One day my girlfriend was talking to a coworker and it came up that her boyfriend streams on twitch. After being asked what games, she told my girlfriend, "just the regular stuff: fortnight, warzone..."
Surprised, interested, and doubtful, she told me the story, after which I confirmed her suspicions that "Warzone" is also the name of the new CoD game.

I doubt that counts as "damages," but its absolutely the case that you can't talk about this game to people irl without it becoming a discussion about CoD.
Then again, with my older friends I just still call it Warlight.

I was talking to my friend yesterday about this lawsuit and it was so hard to explain to him about it - "warzone is fighting my warzone" - but after getting through and showing him the page and such he totally agrees with me about how dumb activison are. it was not hard saying that Activison and big companies have a tract record with this kinda thing.

Activision's claim remains unopposed in EU and there is very few days left. If they get the trademark, they will have legal right to ask for blocking warzone.com for EU states. That would be really troublesome for Fizzer. EU based players constitute at least 50% of his userbase ( probably a lot more, this is my personal estimation) and thus create significant amount of revenue either by ads or direct purchases.
