It has to be the "Ellinaras" stereotype. "Ellinaras" means "Big Greek" or something and it's... equal to redneck. Kinda. Greeks have a lack of sense of obeying any rules (when they are in Greece not abroad). Awful drivers, violating common laws like smoking inside bars or following the traffic lights. So the most thing to do as a Greek is to act like dumb just because you do not care.

The Odyssey is in 8th Century BC and it's a masterpiece. It defines literature until today and it's one the best stories ever.

Apology (Plato) is another masterpiece. After 2500 years it could be used as a guide how to live your life.

Islands in the Sky by Arthur C. Clarke for its innovation. I can't understand how a writer can "predict" so many modern invention just by writing book.


Foundation by Isaac Asimov My favourite Saga.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. best foreign child book of my childhood.

Michel Strogoff by Jules Verne because I had to choose one Verne book. And this reminds my maternal's great grand mother's roots in Russia.
