Most important question is "How shall this poor little artifact feel?!". It knows you have 20 slots and only take 17 with you. But although you have the space for it, it was dropped. 😭

I didn't even know you could do that. Can you SAsc with no artis?

I can’t think of a single thing in the game that increases exponentially…

SAsc dig speed rewards stack multiplicatively, so that would be increasing exponentially (here got 34 digging speed rewards back on page 12 and cut dig time by 99.975 %).

Same @ Arcorann, I have ~54 dig speed buffs, and dig speed increase shows as "100%" in the stats box

The longest digs take ~2 secs, all 263 Hex digs take about 5-6 mins

So ~6-7 repeat Hex digs can get you a couple Insanes ... but it's also arti upgrade Nightmare and slows down the UI vastly, so it can take a few hours just doing all the dang upgrades

Dig speed goes from 100 to 120 to 140 “rate units” so dig speed increases linearly and dig time follows 1/x. Neither is an exponential function but, admittedly, dig time is probably close enough for colloquial use.

I wasn’t objecting to the semantics though, the premise of “cluster your advancements in one thing” is just bad advice when most things (artifacts, advancements, army camps, mines, etc.) have *diminishing* and not exponential returns.

Also lol at the supporting argument being “dig speed is exponential!’ when the original post was “don’t choose dig speed, choose AP instead”

Digspeed is multiplicitive. It's like ACD or MD stats

No that is not how the dig speed bonus works. The official description "+20% faster artifact digging" is misleading. I would've interpreted the description in the same way as you did as well, but that's not the actual effect of the bonus.

People who chose the bonus figured out that the effect for choosing the bonus is multiplying dig times by 0.8, which is the same as saying that it increases the dig speed by 25% multiplicatively. That's not what you (or I) would have expected by reading the sentence "+20% faster artifact digging".

So the dig speed bonus is indeed exponential. It's way better than what the description suggests. I still wouldn't recommend getting it though lol

lol thanks for correction. To be honest, the way this upgrade works is actually more intuitive to me than how all the other upgrades work.

So I guess discounts (mercenary cost, army camp cost, hospital cost, dig speed) “multiply” while improvements (everything else) “add” to the base rate.
