I'm happy to announce the latest even hosted by [WM]!

As you read in the title, we are giving the possibility to join our clan after a selection phase. We'd like to maintain the status as one of the top clans, so the selection is a must.


I divided the competion in 3 tournaments:

Type: 128 players single elimination
1v1: /
Number of minimum games completed: 300



[WM] Selection - Gold: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=4886
Type: 32 players single elimination
1v1: 50%
Number of minimum games completed: 500


[WM] Selection - Platinum: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=4887
Type: 8 players double elimination
1v1:60%
Number of minimum games completed: 1000


You can participate in ONLY ONE of those tournaments, and you MUST take part in the highest possible tournament according with your stats. For example, if you have 1v1 52% you must join Gold tourney, not the simple one.

Once the winner of every tourney has been decided, the 3 winners will play a short fast round robin and to decide the candidate.

The winner will join [WM] for a trial period of 20 days while we will train and teach him. At the end of those 20 days he will be tested and if he will show the carachteristics we are looking for, he will become a full [WM] member.


PS: if 2 or all 3 players show impressive skills in the whole competion, there all be recruited.

PSS: winning the tourney doesn't give you automatically the spot. Only the trial period will decide that.

Regardless of the join WM thing, this looks like it could be fun, so we'll see how I do. :) Thanks for hosting these tournies.

Red, are people who don't want to join WM not allowed to join?

This is like if you ask the creator a "win a membership tourney" if you can join even if you don't want the membership ;)

Ok that answer is ambiguous, does it mean that whoever I choose gets to join WM? Which is what happens in a free membership tourny :)

My answer is that there i no point joining a membership tourney if you don't want the membership.

But there is a point in joining your tournaments even if one doesn't want to be in WM.
A short, 32 player single elimination with decent players only? Sounds fun.

Yeah, but that kills the purpose of the competition.

I qualify for the platinum tournament, but it's already full. Can I therefore drop down to the gold level?

Serious question:

I see a lot of people in other clans in the tournaments, what is your policy in regards to recruiting members of other clans?

Dom, you obviusly can join the other ones if there is room.

Purple, as i said to other people, you can't have 1 foot in 2 shoes. I hope the people who joined that and it's being part of the clan, is not that TARD to join, win, and than say: oh sorry, i don't want to join WM, just having fun. There are plenty of other tourney. Join that for the fun, these have another purpose. Please don't kill it.

Aranka: thank you, yes, some of them went inactive but we don't do this for necessity or desperation, we are trying to do a long term investment.

@myhand - I wonder why you keep trying to refer things to Relite in an attempt to put them in a bad daylight.
Personally I understand you might have had issues with them in the past, but for the current situation I would just ask you to refrain from needless flaming and settle these issues ingame.

@Anonymous - I'm sorry if you mistook me to mean that I thought this was an act of desperation. WM is still a formidable alliance even without the 2-3 players who are (or soon will be) inactive. Any plans made for long term planning can only be applauded in terms of level of competition in the future.
