With the last semifinal of the NC decided by score, team Brazil moves to the final game against Norway.
I will be doing forum coverage for the grand final.

Also, i would like to invite everybody to the 2nd Nations Cup, that will start as soon as the final finishes, so while the final takes places, the registration for the next Nations Cup will be happening.

I wont be doing much of the organizing, but the first tournament generated lots of interest which made it easily alive throughout the process.

This 2nd tournament doesnt need to have the same formula as the previous one.

I want the help of all of you to decide:
1) Bracket system or group stage?
2) 5 or 7 players each team (more seems will not work)?
3) Templates for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and TEAMvTEAM.
4) Pointing system.
5) Suggestion for coverage



Also, as of now, teams can start organizing and posting their line-ups, and i am adding team Brazil 1 with this momentary line-up.

The last tournament we flooded the forum a little bit with all the nations threads, but since we now have the notable forum i still think is the best method to reunite the nation teams. It will be a fresh breeze for the harsh things we are seeing in the posts.

I completly forgot about this thing, I think I was in Team GB 2. Thanks for doing this btw. It 's a great idea and takes a lot of time to do. Congrats to the two finalists.
Next cup I would be happy to help, set up some of the games if you need help or test. Also I can captain One of the Gb's if no one else is.

I can't help with settings really, but in terms of teams I think 7, it gives more people a chance to play.
Coverage I think there should be updates of rounds and game links. Maybe could get the Livestream crew to do some commentary, on big games.

You would need 32 teams,
8 groups of 4, top 2 progress from each group
Last 16, 8 games 8 progress
Quater-Finals, 4 games, 4 progress
Semi-finals, 2 games, 2 progress
Finals, 1 game 1 winner
3rd place between 3rd and 4th.

As for the tournament structure: I think brackets might be the best way to go, seeing as lots of teams lost interest halfway during the groupstage which made some groups pretty pointless.

I will organize an East USA team, as I did last season. If anyone from last season is interested, let me know and I'll see who we have to work with.



1) I think the bracket system would be best. Groups (if that's what we had last time) took so long people got bored, inactive, etc.
2) A roster of 5 people with two subs, making 7 total seems best to me. Too many people gets hard to coordinate and keep track of.
3) 1v1: If Fizzer comes out with the changing bonus values I would say this current seasons settings. If not, I like the settings of the clan league right now.

5v5 no idea, don't play much 5v5 so I don't know many templates. Maybe something fun like the solar system map?

i think 5v5 shouldnt be worth that much, in my experience 5v5's consist of to many teammates to coordinate every move, normally only picks are coordinated, so shouldnt be worth so many points. I am willing to play for a west usa team unless there are better players that want to

about template, i think 5v5 should coint less or = to 3v3. Often 5v5 is lucky on pick IMHO, and i say this for exaperience.

I prefer the idea of 5 players per country, it means if there are many in 1 country you just add a second team, and it allows smaller countries to have more players.

5 players also means that countries as Poland and the Netherlands can have 4 teams :D
So would we allow those 3 or 4 teams or do we say that 2 teams per country/area is enough?

1)Brackets are what we should use here, as mentioned earlier by others, the group stages became a mess after teams lost their interest.

2)I don't have anything against both of the teams, but 5vs5 will probably go a bit faster and be less of a mess than 7vs7. 5vs5 is slightly better in my opinion, but I wouldn't care if it became 7vs7 again.

3)I don't really care about the templates, but I would say that we shouldn't use to well known templates so we can see how the teams can adapt in a slightly different kind of template wich isn't well known. I think NoobSchool's choises aren't to bad. I would change the 3vs3 template to something else.

4)Pointsystem:
1v1 & 2v2: 1 point
3v3: 2 points
TEAMvTEAM: 2 or 3 points, not more.

5) No idea :D

min if you make that amount of team of 1 country you can know for sure the worst teams are out after the first round no matter against who they stand but if needed I am availible to play for the dutch proud

@Bhklahgil, that is true, but for brackets you need an amount of teams, you can't just go with a random amount but you'll need 16 or 32 (or 64 for that matter) so there might be limited space (you know we won't get 64 teams, but we might get 40 for example) then you have to draw the line.

@sarutobi/Epaminondas: Belgian team was with the dutch team last nations Cup. That went well, but if you guys have enough players then you might be able to do a dutch/belgian team with only belgian players.

It's Dutch pride, and according to our politicians, we 're so small and squishy that we need those big strong countries around us realy hard and so we don't have the luxury of having pride xD

I will most likely be available to play for Netherlands as well.
(Depanding on, well, everything, i 'm still not sure what this cup is gonna look like :P )
