This thread is like a Seinfeld episode. A lot of talk about nothing. Sometimes it is funny.

If you throw in the [GG] tag for another 5 dollars, I'll gladly buy them all :)
Obviously not really, the next clan I join will be my last, I promise. And I have not broken a promise in nearly 10 years. You can go ahead and hate on me for joining it, but I feel confident that I will be very happy with this new clan, because with my many experiences in clans, I have learned what I really do want in a clan and they have it :)

Good question Arun. And there are a few main things I want (in no particular order):
1. A clan where I feel like I can make a positive, direct impact in the clan. 2. A leadership position 3. At least a couple players in the clan that I can learn something from 4. A friendly enviroment where the players in the clan enjoy warlight immensely
I thought to myself last night what do I want in a clan and what would keep me interested in a clan. And these 4 things popped into my head. I thought to myself, which clan can do this for me? [Lynx] fulfills all of these requirements as far as I am concerned.
Why not Apex and [WM]? I can't do points 1 and 2. I stayed in Apex a long while, as I would have [WM] had it been different timing, I just joined right at the point when I was becoming inactive. But without points 1 and 2, I wasn't fully engaged in the clan and wanted more from a clan.
Why not [P]? That clan had very little to offer in terms of #3 and #4. Our members were bordering on inactive and the 2-3 that could compete with me at the time were some of those bordering on inactivity.
Why not [WG]? Early on, I feel like I had all 4 of these points covered. However, the closeness we had with each other slowly evaporated the bigger we got, and I didn't feel like I could make a big difference in the clan anymore by the time I left. I had a great time recruiting new players in it and playing with them, but in the end, there was nothing that could make me stay.
Why {101st} then? I get all 4 of these points above. I asked Alex about being Captain of [Lynx] (he is still in complete control of the clan, but I have complete freedom to help train [Lynx] players, and can make a big impact on other {101st} players as well, and decide when they are ready for [Lynx]. I know I will stay with the clan, because there will always be people to help train in the clan. {101st} has many good players currently, that while not great yet, would be within a couple months with or without my help I think. They have the desire to learn that I've always liked in fellow clanmates, and they are willing to help teach others as well. They enjoy the game and I have heard of none of the [Lynx] members leaving or even retiring from warlight.
All in all, I see it as a no lose situation. It's my last chance at finding a clan I can spend my entire warlight career in (cause I've tried just about every other style of clan), and I feel very confident that I will love it here, and I hope can make a very positive impact in the clan :)

Seems to me you are setting the bar too high. Even if clans like 101st can meet these requirements for a time, eventually you will lose interest (WG a good example?) as one of the four gradually dissipates.
Once this eventuality occurs, you have 2 options: (1) Lower your clan-joining criteria (rocommended). or (2) Accept the fact that no clan is good enough for you and become a lone wolf, solitary and aggressive to any outside influence.

2 and 3 are impossible to evaporate, and while 1 and 4 are possible, I don't see it happening ever. There are over 30 current 101st members, and so there will always be another guy to help train.

Ha good point, NoobSchool
Why not AHOL? 1. NoobSchool's in it :p 2. As Gnullbegg says, I am not legally allowed to drink. 3. A real reason - I'm not gonna help improve the clan at all and I feel I wouldn't be interested in staying for a very long period of time.

You just said before about losing interest in WG because more people joined and there isn't that 'closeness' you desire. How can you be sure that they won't happen just like WG? History is notorious for repeating itself after all...

Master L, that was the #1 reason I stayed with [WG] so long was the closeness and the group feeling. Go ahead and say what you guys want, I'm in {101st} to stay.
