As far as I can tell: Minor exodus due to internal leadership drama, mostly absorbed by Optimum (https://www.warzone.com/Clans/?ID=202). Clan overall appears in stable condition.
Possible aftershock exodus at end of CW season. Collapse unlikely.
Yeah, Optimum got founded (technically they took the clan from l4.rov) as an "Anti Norman" clan from somewhat 3 or so guys. However most of the former clanmates there just followed their mates then for basically 2 other reasons. The "Anti Norman" fraction had some friends who wanted to continue being in a clan with them and those were also our more "elitist" guys, so players who wanted to turn our clan more into the direction of clans like Python also followed.
There seems to be quite some randomness regarding the success of clans with 101st / Python being the prime example. If I remember correctly your clan was started by the founder being too bad to join WarLighters. So with this randomness in mind, it is entirely possible that the Optimum clan will thrive in increasing the old M'Hunters prerequisites, simultaneously finding more willing recruits than M'Hunters had for CW and again simultaneously let the clan focus more on the templates which are "approved" by the elite crowd.
The original M'Hunters is however returning back to it's roots: Sticking it to the elitists. We will probably take a season off from CL and then pull our stunt again to walk straight from the bottom to A. When we will strike heavy in CW again depends on how fast we are able to recruit. Basically every active Discord user is welcome. Your responsibility is to talk with us and our responsibility is to help you quickly reach your own skill ceiling.
They've taken the CL slot, so it seems that explains some of the current difference.
Long term, I'd wager MH continues its pivot away from competitive play and becomes (remains) the dominant strategic casual clan. CW has created a perfect niche for MH's competitively-serious-but-not-elitist historic positioning. I doubt they're going to rise to CL A again because it's just not their core competency now, when CW has given them a more enticing forum to focus on.
Optimum could go in so many directions. It's in a fledgling stage so it could collapse if key players retire around the same time. It could boom and do well in CL 16 (promote to A), at which point it's a stone's throw away from becoming a mainstay of the competitive strategic scene as the old guard fades into inactivity. It could also just occupy something similar to M'H's current niche, where it does reasonably well in CL and fights at the top of CW.
This is all mild as far as clan drama goes (a testament to M'H's historic stability- it's been roughly the same clan for 9 years now, an era during which other clans have gone through many incarnations and generally greater chaos). But it may be a revitalizing shift for the clan system as it continues to navigate the new era of a Clan Wars, Open Clans, and Idlers.
There is a fun irony to this with Optimum and Prime, both on their 6th incarnations, finally becoming something close to what I'd intended when I'd bought them, only after I'd given up on the clans and given them away to existing subcommunities. Optimum-6 has become a strong strategic clan focused on optimal play, while Prime-6 has turned into a friendly, casual, welcoming, high-activity accessible clan. Thanks to NEETs and the M'H breakaways for creating these communities and 🤞fulfilling the visions of the clans you now hold.
MH (MyballsHurt) is a stratejee warone clan founded by epic waroner timinator apex. without the timinator and the timi blockade guides, people could no longer take their turns because there is no guide to press commit. last week new waroner who decided to stay anonymous released guide to press leave clan button (this waroner will be referred to as Lukashenko). Lukashenko then kreated epiq klan optidad and invite all his friend in search of the press commit guide
Thanks indeed to Knyte for helping us to get our start!
I will take a shot at answering alexclusive's original question. (I don't speak for all of OP, but just for me.)
What I liked most about MH when I first joined: it put a premium on strategic play. AI, Leopard, and DrApe, and a bunch of up-and-comers, were looking to succeed on the ladders and play in CL.
While I will not disparage MH (or Norman), I'll say that version of MH no longer exists unfortunately.
OP is a new 40+ clan looking to go back to those roots. We're an active group of longtime warzone friends, striving to play at a high level and have fun while doing it. We have an active discord and are open to newcomers who fit the friendly/skilled vibe that we're cultivating.
I'd like to add. We will be playing cw as well, but after running MH's cw effort for a while I understand it will take time to build a competitive team.
if you are interested in joining us for cw feel free to reach out to me.
The real answer to 'what happed to MH' is ... the kurse of krinid
- krinid joins CORP, it becomes less prominent - krinid joins TSFH, it implodes - krinid joins Harmony/TSFHarmony, several bolt to another clan, remainder merge with Discovery - krinid joins yolo, it goes inactive - krinid joins Discovery, it merges with Blitz and goes inactive - krinid joins MH, well ... that's what this thread is about
BUT we're not done yet! In fact, still a bunch of us going strong . . . so time to rebuild from the losses & return to prominence.
Some people called me boomer too, but I am interpreting this as a compliment regarding my virtuosity using the bomb card on Northern Vanatu Islands 1v1
“Kratt said smthing abt chat being quiet I said “Boomers > Millennials” Then we talked I said “Okay millennial” Iirc he said “Something something me having an attitude” and then he kicked me out of the clan Obviously ask for his perspective, that’s my perspective only and I remember my side all too well, but not exactly the other side of the door (which Kratt def knows better) and the middle part of it” Copied and pasted from global chat
