I think we need to bring back death penalty. With such a punishment who wold want to do crime? But still be humane while you kill the person.

The death penalty makes no difference to the rate of crime. It never has. Look at all the countries that had it / have it. Crime happens there.

It's a question of does deterrence work for crime - which is often carried out in moments of passion / opportunity / desperation.

You presume that criminals are logical.

As for cup picture guy. one Latin American country (I forget the name) has a high punishment for drug dealers. If you do the math to make up for populace difference it has less drug crime then USA.

This is related to the death penalty I know not how seeing as the U.S does not enforce the death penalty for drug trafficking.
