I'm not. There is a tendency to perceive a black suspect behaving in the exact same manner as a white suspect as being more dangerous. Even when a group of citizens commits more crimes, it doesn't justify treating individuals in that group worse for the same crime. I want to emphasize that I'm not blaming police for the bias. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. It is what it is, and even though there is a reason for it, efforts should be made to combat it so that people are treated as equally as possible.

Police brutality is unquestionably the major issue in this case.

My goal in posting is to help people realize that, even though things are MUCH better than they used to be, black people in the US are still often judged and treated worse because they are black, due to implicit bias.

Instead, try to correct black neighborhoods, and destroy black gang culture (which frankly, is highly encouraged).

I think what he was trying to say is that black gangs are more widespread and statistically causing more problems than gangs of other ethnicity. Similar to the sense that Islamic terrorism is currently more significant then terrorism of any other group.

There is truth to this, whether you think so or not. There has been an increase of the "f*ck the police" way of thinking within black communities, which contributes to more gang members.

I will also say that parents need to start parenting again, throughout the whole country, no matter which color anyone is. This would solve a LOT of problems.

Most people (parents) would be horrified to know how fairly common child prostitution and child drug addicts are in the US.
