Yes I'm finally back, after all these days, although I have break my promise to not to come back.
But I'm delighted to see you all again, it was 4 months ago!

Good where should I begin ? Oh yes. My computer crashed and I lost my recent data svgs.... but thanks to a friend I have been couraged to work again, courage and discipline.

My grand arte 'penguins' is finally compressed to 1,8k and succeeded in size. Splendid!
Now my faith is restored, I'll work again as usual.I'm glad!

wow I did not know this existed :P why the name 'penguins'?! also you have a lot of competition now as there are a couple of new huge world maps.

I derrived the name from a junk site on the internet: http://www.penguinrepublic.info/home.html they claim to posses a republic on Antarctica with the only habitants being pinguins. I read an article on that site where it was said the penguins will rule the earth one day in the near future. I found it quite funny and so I changed the name of my map.

I suppose it is a new trend now on Warlight to create big maps but I projected this map more than a year ago and the fact that this map has an incredible size proves that this really stands off from the others.

Don't make the same Belarusian mistakes everyone else does.

Hrodna -> Grodno
Magileu -> Mogilyov
Homel -> Gomel

Other things:

Saaremma Island and Hiumeaa Island -> Moonsund Archipelago
Chernivtsi -> Chernihiv

Thank you. You sure know a lot of Russia and its former clays. I think I just have some kind of weird addict to romanize every name to their best pronounciation I like.

If you have some more recommendations to change the colour of some nations, don't be afraid to post.I'm all ears. You see that I really fail at colour matching.

Socotra belongs to Yemen, not Somalia.

Rhodes Island -> Dodecanese Islands
Uralsk -> Oral
Aleutian Islands look weird - also they should be much closer to Commander Island.
Jeju-do Island -> Jeju Island

Also, your colours seem fine enough - I'm not expert in those things.

You don't have to see working connections yet, this map is under preparation. Making line connections will be the last step.

Odessa,Dobruja and Kiev are translated correctly in their English names. There's no change needed at all.

Jejudo or Jeju are both synonyms for the same island, again no change needed.

Dodecanese Islands,Ivano-Frankivsk and Oral seem better.

I totally forgot about Socotra. Auletian islands will be given a new place.

Odessa, Dobruja and Kiev are all right, but the more correct names are Odesa and Kyiv (Ukrainian names). Also, Dobruja is the name of a town, I think; Dobrogea is the region.

Also, Jejudo is used to refer to the Do that the province is, not the island itself.

All names are converted to their English names because WL is an english speaking community. It would be confusing if they're all written in their own native language. Changing Brussels to Bruxelles, Lisbon to Lisboa , ... would confuse the main English speaking community.
forget Las Malvinas, they're the Falklands now chap.

Belgian is right (welcome back by the way :)) , we are a diverse community but we should conform to standards.

Yeah, I agree to that, too, but Odesa and Kyiv are also standard right names for the cities.

Just one thing I'd like to point out about Brazil's northeastern coast, particularly the state of Bahia:



The selected territory is named "Salvador". The one directly below it is named "Itabuna", and below that, there is Ilhéus. The only one actually accurate is Ilhéus there. The red circle shows Salvador's actual location, the purple circle shows Itabuna's and the dark green one shows Ilhéus.

So... This region did get quite innacurate and messy.

Otherwise... Weird name, but interesting map, very well detailed ^^
