Runs on Warzone version 4.14.2+

This mod turns territories that are not connected to any special units, such as Commanders, neutral at the end of the turn. Connected means there is a path from a territory to one that has a special unit where the territory and special unit owners are the same.

Note:

  • Players will be notified to place initial Commander positions.
  • This mod does not support AI players - their territories will become neutral because they are unable to distribute initial Commander positions.

Settings

Automatically enabled or overridden built-in settings

This mod automatically disables the Commanders setting, but players can distribute Commanders using the menu.

Mod Settings

Game creators can customize:

  • If Commanders can be transferred (defaults to enabled).
  • If Commanders can make attacks/transfers (defaults to enabled).
  • The number of Commanders each player receives on turn 1 (defaults to 1, min 1, max 4 - lower and higher values can be typed in rather than using the number slider, there is no absolute min or max).

Distributing Commanders

Players can distribute Commanders onto their territories on turn 1 (and only turn 1) of the game. To do so:

  1. Open Game > Mod: Connected Commanders
  2. Click "Select new territory for commander"
  3. A list of territories which the player owns will be displayed
  4. Select a territory from the list
