Every week, I'll try to do a Global News for the game. The format will work like this :
CLIMATE Brazilian corporations continue to deny reports that their factories are not eco-friendly. Soil in America is starting to replenish thanks to local movements to simply conserve resources better. Generally, global climate is at a slight decline.
CURRENT EVENTS Many diseases have hit East Asia. The root cause is believed to be a runaway cancer patient who had the first reported contagious cancer. Death tolls are still at the dozens after a few days, but a recent population sample projected 0.9% of the population being affected. A drought in certain regions of Eastern Europe. A particularly affected crop is the turnip. Many farmers have become migrants.
POLITICS Prime Minister Zhang Du bides for re-election in England. He's low in the polls, but a recent ad campaign has shown promise. Recent turmoil as a religious scandal has undermined the Friends of Garter Party and its important official Governor Armingham. The Junkers' Reform party has now increased influence in Scotland because of this.
DIPLOMACY Overall, world leaders are agreeing with each other.
A recent conflict in Africa might change this.
