Wally, you are a troll too I'm aware that some people think that but they are not mass-downvoting anything I say. It appears people, at least for right now, are judging content not just downvoting everything from people they don't like. That's a positive sign this might work. Hopefully it continues that way.

I like the concept of voting for threads you like, and really appreciate that off-topic posts within threads don't have to be read, as you can vote to hide them.
However, my concern is that genuine, on-topic threads are being forced off of the 'dashboard selection' as more and more threads get over the voting thresh-hold needed for them to be pinned to the dashboard. (not sure what that 'thresh-hold' is) This means recent threads of interest are actually hidden unless players go the the forum page actively searching for them.

I don´t get the new Forum update at all. The Voting is so off - and full of holes. It does not improve Forum experience. I would have been much more satisfied, it I could have instead an option to Hide Threads that I am not interested myself, rather than let community decide what is relevant.
Warlight ranks HIGH on spam, lack of informative posts, low relevancy threads etc. If a player could at least decide for himself, what is relevant to him, already this would improve the forum quality - although in the end this would just be a distortion. Or vice-versa, could bookmark, tag certain threads. I know the Muli script has some options, I believe, but why not built them in the system.

^i agree, why not incorporate all of Muli's features and give him credit. Fizzer just needs to copy paste, even a lazy sack of potatoes can do that.

And then ypu need several trucks of potatoes for maintamence of features. Even if Muli's script works perfectly across different browsers than it is still plenty of work to maintain it in future.
Blind copy-pasting is not acceptable in programming, assuming that one wants something working reliably.

it would be helpful if our post and thread values were shown, like -2 or +4. and while your at it, you might as well let us see who down/upvoted our stuff too.

@Turtle
I don´t want to get too much into Voting-system. I have nothing good to say about it. What I meant about hide, tag, bookmark. Is that if I check forums once a week: and every day there is 10 Non-Warlight related, lack of information and in relevancy in General Section - I need to go through 2-3 pages to get to few Threads where someone posted on Monday-Tuesday. It would be much efficient if I could just use those 3 features to make forum readable, for at least those Threads that I have previously chose to track. There is no way to eliminate the nonsense - it is a current standard here.
To me it always seems simpler and more sensible to solve the cause of problem, rather than an attempt to change an outcome with same inputs. But thats just me.
For posts I am glad you trust an average Warlight player, unfortunately I don´t, as every second post here is spam or non-informative (actually it probably is higher than 80%). So It does not exactly help at all that few threads and some spam gets hidden. I know it is wishful thinking, but maybe one day Warlight gets a Working Forum.

Pretty clear that the off-topic forum needs a higher threshold before the thread gets hidden. Tons of normal threads are being hidden. Including some with huge post counts. The nature of that forum is that controversial topics are common and I think everybody understands and is ok with that.
Even the 'last reply' thread with thousands of posts is hidden...

"last reply" topic is a perfect example of spammy forum game that IMHO deserves to be hiden as low quality. Given that it was downvoted into disapperance it seems that my opinion was shared more widely.
For me it is proof of how voting succeded.

Can you link ones worth keeping? Many are obviously terrible from title alone, some are potentially good but it depends on the content.

Can you link ones worth keeping? No. See: Wally Balls Law of the Internet. The point is not if you can argue over any specific thread that I link. When 70% of the first page is hidden, something is broken. Clearly not all of those deserve to be hidden. It's just a forum that naturally has a lot of controversial topics.

IMHO it is result of low quality of threads. Hopefully now that the worst content is discouraged forum quality will improve, what will result in most threads visible.
For now people are still recreating downvoted threads just to see getting them downvoted again. Hopefully people will learn that the low-quality is not welcomed. It depends on what will be downvoted - at least for me now it works quite well.
My diagnosis is that it is not voting that is broken but content.

It would mean that off topic forum contains solely terrible threads that wide majority of voting Warlight players prefers to be gone.
Like unfunny threads with alts talking to each other.
