Good plans and keep up the great effort! Focusing on the 2019 Race makes sense. The rolling 52w average is cool and the other records can indeed be kept accessible for interested players or for an update whenever you or someone else has time.

I think that the format of the tour finals and the effort required to get there make it a major WZ achievement, congrats to Buns and Rakleader!

• Jo Jo and tornado both took a big step towards qualifying, they will fight for the first Grand Slam title in 2020, and the winner will get the very early qualification for the 2021 Tour Finals! (at least so far there have always been enough 2000 points for that)
  
• But in the beginning, a Grand Slam result greatly can distorts the rankings, so if we remove the TOP4 points (SF and F) from the first Grand Slam, we can find familiar faces in the TOP places: Kurdistan, Timi, Hergul and Rak (WZ RIP Kicorse :((( but his clanmate, Kurdistan, seems to be (try) taking over his Tour legacy somewhat :) )
  
• So this is the live situation on 2020 Tour Race, but the journey is still very long, stay with me and let’s see who will be the 16 fighters who will be able to fight for the 2021 trophy? :)

Weekly Tour Race update - Week 17

• The TOP25 on the 2020 Tour Race based on results from the finished and ongoing events so far:
  
  
  
  
• Around 80 games have been finished since the last update, and so far a total of 959/3918.
  (These are approximate numbers because I register new players only once a month and the winnings of these new players are not counted by automation until that)
  
• Tornado won the Final of the first Grand Slam of the year, and took the lead from the losing party, Jo Jo.
  Plus likely he qualified to the Tour Final 2021 too, because so far there have always been enough 2000 points for that.
  Congratulations on both!
  
• Kurdistan grabbed the second place with impressive Masters and two 500 Series event finals.
  But he lost his first game on Biomes GS and didn't join to the second GS, which will be a big drawback if he wants to fight for the first places.
  
• As I can see, in addition to Tornado, we have two more tournament winners, Adreso and MoD both won his 500 Series event finals, and scored 200 additional points, congrats!
  
• So this is the live situation on 2020 Tour Race, but the journey is still very long (959/3918 finished games), stay with me and let’s see who will win the regular season and who will be the 16 fighters who will be able to fight for the 2021 AWP World Champion title! :)

Before October I basically only played Small Earth templates. :) Since joining the AWP tour, I've been learning fast. Lots of settings I haven't really used before in some of these, like multi-attack, army caps, and more.

I'll have to take a screenshot of when I sat on top of the rankings in the 2020 AWP tour race after one finished event. 11th overall as we come toward the end of April? I'll take it! :D

@Ekstone, is there a spreadsheet yet that shows the rankings in the image below? Or is it yet to be posted? Thx

I have a question. How come only the best six results from the 500 and 250 tournaments are included? Most of the tournaments are 500 and 250 level. A player can technically play around 30 such tournaments in one season, right? I feel like Grand Slams and Masters are overemphasized this way. I assume you're doing it this way because it may be too much work to include all the tournaments in ranking calculations, in which case that's fine, I understand :)

@tornado, Ekstone uses the same ranking system as the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) because the AWP is modelled off that.

@tornado -

A big reason to cap it is because otherwise your ranking suffers if you don't play most of the tournaments. By capping the number of 250/500 events that count you can then skip those 250/500 templates that you don't like w/o any penalty (which makes it more fun for the players who hate a bunch of templates but also want to do well, which is a lot of players I think).

@huddyj: I knew he uses the ATP ranking system, but I didn't know that's how ATP did it. I thought ATP rankings included all tournaments. I just checked and I can confirm that Ekstone, of course, is doing it the right way. There is one minor difference which, in my opinion, doesn't require any changes to the AWP ranking system since it may be too much additional work for Ekstone. In the ATP ranking system, every tournament out of the 'big 12' (4 Grand Slams and 8 Masters 1000s) that a player skips or doesn't play for whatever reason makes him eligible to have an additional 'small' (500s and 250s) tournament be counted towards his ranking. So if you only play 10 out of the 12 big tournaments, you can have 8 instead of the current 6 small tournaments be counted towards your ranking, which makes sense IMO. I'm not sure how difficult this is to implement for Ekstone, but if it's easy to do, I'd love to see it.
