101st has officially split into two clans, so I see no problem with them both playing. Obviously alts are not allowed.

Look at the thread Pushover linked. Right there decides this decision. 6/10 of the CPU players who played in the clan league were bia. So bia got the group a spot. This time, 6/7 (will soon be 7/7) players who played for 101st are now lynx. Exact same scenerio, except lynx has even more claim to the group a spot than bia did. Some people said that I am only doing this because I am in lynx. That's bs, history shows I ruled the same way in the previous season. To change the rules now would completely undermine the authority of the clan league.

Apollo is claiming that as of this weekend Lynx is not a part of 101st. It is a separate clan. They even paid $15. :P
I don't see the difference between 101st changing its name to replicate the CPU thing and 101st not changing its name. That is a semantic difference only. The fact that *all* players that competed for 101st are now in lynx should definitely mean something. Lynx did prove themselves, just under another name.
And yes, this means I did change my mind.

The players make the clan, the clan name is unimportant. I've got an odd example for this: if warlighters and apex switched clan names, would the old apex players suddenly fall to group b because they changed their name? The thing with gg is that they wanted to be in group a because they were a skilled clan. You have to earn it first. Lynx earned group a. I feel like ive already earned it once and wouldnt want to do it again. i guess i have to hope cheis and miyagi see it the same way. I helped my clan earned the group a spot and I want to reap my reward: play against the group a players. Bring it on twm, summer, frank, fridge, Michael, and noobschool!

new clan = start in bottom lynx = new clan lynx = start in bottom 101st = group a last season 101st = group a this season
there was the same idiocy with CPU splitup. A few of the CPU guys went to XCD (gruff, slammy), yet it was BIA which got the Group A slot in the end. Boom. BIA gets last place this season. I guess the clan league is ran by biased people. If you want my opinion...
ALL NEW CLANS MUST START FROM THE BOTTOM.
New clans is defined by official clans that were recently purchased.

Some might say the simplest answer is to do what has been done in the past...
In which case, lynx takes 101st place in group a.
