The Portuguese settlement recruit more men for their military. A team of scientists is formed to research into how to cleanse the Iberian peninsula as efficiently as possible, from the fallout, and to get civilisation expanded throughout the region. Scouts observe a civilisation that we have not known about until recently, named "Basque". We ask to occasionally send messengers through the nuclear wasteland, and safely escort them between our two nations, to build up diplomatic relations between us.

President Raegan orders the rebuilding the East Coast first, then go west. The United States had some resources stored up, enough to last the current population about one week. Packets seeds and one cow will be given to every surviving family in order to sustain the population. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania will be the temporary capitol of the United States.

With the situation in Tokyo somewhat stabilized, officials begin to focus on other prioritized goals. The first being the pros/cons to a democratic form of government during the nuclear apocalypse or if a single head with absolute power would be best. A public forum will be held, allowing the people of the city a voice on the matter.

In the mean time, able body citizens have been organized into squads to search the surrounding areas of Yokohama and Chiba. The squads searching these areas have also been informed to report back on the situations in both cities as far as population and destruction is concerned.

It is also estimated that more than half of the populace of Tokyo left the city out of fear. Many others were killed in the ensueing chaos to follow. The city is almost a ghost town. The area surrounding Tokyo Bay has as of this point in time become recognized as the most highly populated region.

In the smoldering ruins of the once pious city of Jerusalem a group of Ultra-Orthodox survivors meet up under the ruins of Temple Mount. The golden dome has collapsed and somehow survived the fall and lays upon the dusty ground. In front of it a group of extremist Jews regroup. Under to leadership of Yaakan Aril they decide to rebuild the Jewish state and they must kill everyone who stands in their way. As they make plans to strengthen themselves snow begins to fall.

Meanwhile in Tel Aviv a small band of about seven survivors groups up under the control of Adman Amir. He sets up a base in the ruins of the city and invites others into the base. He grows to be well respected, unaware of the extremists in Jerusalem.

In Italy, the Mafia State of Sicilly has recently annexed Ferarra. Fearing for its Independence, Tuscany begins to improve Relations with the Alpine Confederation in hopes of an Alliance and Protection. Sicilly is also aware of the Power of the Alpine Confederation and begins maximizing its Army to it's fullest. Scouts sent to North Africa, Turkey and Spain reveal New Survivor Nations. Meanwhile in Germany, a New Survivor Nation by the Name of the Federal Republic of the North German States (North Germany) has recently expanded to the Borders of the Alpine Confederation. It is due to the Discovery of a Surviving Volkswagen Factory that North Germany was able to expand its Territory

The Confederate States of America sends scouts to the west, The Midwest is not as heavily damaged and so survivor states may exist over the Mississippi

Huwhili expands its small mountain settlement into a thriving town of 65,000. We send diplomats to other known survivor states in Europe. According to the diplomats, radiation is still extremely prevalent along major routes and is constantly spreading across eurasia. An issue our diplomats encountered among the many faction of Europe is an underlying sense of arrogance and authoritarianism, going so far as to make claim to land that is completely uninhabitable. It is of no issue to Huwhili in the end, for the important thing is the existence of surviving states that can work together. The diplomats list the greatest achievement of their expeditions as securing radio broadcasting channels with the other states, ensuring humanity has a way of communicating again.

Meanwhile, Huwhili witnesses a massive draft of 26,000 males between 16 - 30. Huwhili goes to war with the remains of Iran. The first 3 operations meet moderate success, but for the most part the problem is the runaway irradiation slowing things down. There are few casualties at least and the invasion is remaining organized.

The population of Huwhili is also maintaining its specialist nature.

Huwhili also encounters strange "snow people" on an expedition of 200 people around the Eastern coast of the Caspian.

Portuguese explorers are employed to scout out the northwest coast of Africa. Reports are sent back stating that various city states were beginning to be formed in what was former Morocco, each weak, and rebuilding from the crisis. Portugal begin further careful expansion in the Iberian peninsula, but there was no success in finding a purification device. The idea is abandoned. The Portuguese military is built up, preparing of an invasion to the newly built up west-African civilisations. They seemed to be what was left of the Berber civilisations, trying to rebuild it.

Reagan wishes to control all rebuilding operations north of the former Mason-Dixon Line, we'll split the nation like Rome did to govern more effectively until the nation is decently rebuilt.
Harrisburg has running water and electricity again. The government will get supplies to survivors, in ten years we hope to begin clearing rubble out of the cities and rebuild again.

I like that projection of the huwhili-iran war! It is well in mind with the progress i intended.

About snow peoples : there is no indication of them showing signs of civilization. We've only seen a few dozen, and they mostly run away, offer warnings to us, or watch us from afar. It is unclear whether they are organized groups, parts of different factions or are in fact organized into tribes or small settlements. All set do know is that they are well set for mountain climate and interact with us in evasive behavior.

If i am to be displeased with one thing, I've kept in mind that Iran probably retains at least 60ŕ of its modern territory. But, i don't mind.

Nickpicking : technically Huwhili hasn't claimed nation status or any lands outside of its town's outskirts, but i understand is hard to interpret that on a map so i won't hold it against you. I'll make sure to describe the operational movements as i continue to Roleplay the war.

To all : Huwhili is establishing radio contact with many of you, so very shortly we should see all eurasian nations having diplomacy and trade again.

The confederate States agrees to splitting the country for rebuilding. so far Colombia has running water and electric and the power stations on the congaree and roanoke rivers are slowly being repaired and reactivated, Virginia will soon have power, while North Carolina, or what remains of it, is mostly devastated

I understand this, but I thought it would be very strange seeing a map showing a city state conquering a country (despite the fact that that country is collapsing).

Well, considering all the collapse, it's really not impractical. It's a barbarians vs Rome situation.

Edit: Can we get a world map? Little weird dealing with 2 separate maps.
