With border problems in many parts of the world, I'd like to ask whether the Warlight community sees these countries as independent, or support their independence

8. Greenland - They don't necessarily want independence, so I'm happy to view them as a constituent country

1. Palestine is independent and should be, too. Israel didn't own this land for centuries.

2. Catalonia obviously wants to be independent, so they should be independent. Plus cultural and language differences.

3. Kosovo is independent, though parts of it should probably go back to Serbia in my opinion. But it definitely should be independent as they showed they want it.

4. Northern Cyprus... well, it's a tough one, but probably should be independent/part of Turkey. It might have been historically Greek but it is not anymore.

5. Kurdistan definitely should be independent.

6. Crimea doesn't even want independence, really... I'd give it back to Ukraine myself as Russia has invaded it and therefore is the aggressor here.

7. Okay, I don't know about the political situation of that one, but China shouldn't probably get anything.

8. Greenland is basically independent, anyways. It's so autonomical it's only de jure a part of Denmark, besides, it's too distant and large to be administrated properly by the Danes. Again, just my opinion.

9. Scotland should be independent, simply because they want it and they have been constantly harassed by England in history, so the current status does seem a bit like England ruling over Scotland.

10. Tibet should definitely be independent, even if I don't see it happening anytime soon...

11. Taiwan is basically independent, but I agree China should renounce their claims on it (again, probably not happening soon)

12. Kaliningrad Oblast should never have been created in the first place and should go to Lithuania (perhaps with some lands on the south going to Poland as well)

2. Catalonia No, I'd rather not see Spain go bankrupt because a couple Catalonians are unhappy.

5. Kurdistan Yes, those Kurds deserve their own nation.

6. Crimea (as part of Russia) Nope. The Invasion of Crimea was just as illegal as the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

11. Scotland - Should stay part of the UK, according to the scottish people.

Tibet should be independent, yes.
Taiwan should be fully recognised as independent, yes.
I'm not sure about Kaliningrad. Russia should've never got it, but there's not much we can do about it now.
EDIT: Western Sahara should be independent owned by sahrawi arab democratic republic

How is Catalonia independent? It's not, although it should be.

Is already an independent state currently under occupation.

Already has autonomy. Some people are just hard to please.

3- Kosovo
Was historically an Ottoman Province. Should remain independent from Serbia.

4- Northern Cyprus
I like Turkey better than I like Greece.

5- Kurdistan
The region might benefit from a strong independent Islamic Kurdish country as a stabilizing force in the region. Historically never existed.

6- Crimea
Was illegally taken by Ukraine, and has now been illegally returned to Russia. Get used to it. The majority population is Russians. There's no going back on this one.

7- Kashmir
India and China must be taking the piss with this one. Kashmir should be an autonomous region of Pakistan.

8- Greenland
Just a region of Denmark. Should remain so as long as they retain self-determination within the Kingdom.

9- Scotland
Let's just remember that it was the Scottish monarch who gained the English crown, not the English who took the Scottish. The personal union has worked all this time and is so intertwined I don't see any point in independence. No benefits.

10- Tibet
Nobody cares about this place.

11- Taiwan
Should be independent, but only if they stop trying to claim other people's territory.

12- Kaliningrad
This place should be German, but it has become so integrated into Russia now that I doubt this would happen.

13- Czechoslovakia
Should be reunited.

14- Abkhazia
Should remain independent.

15- South Ossetia
The Georgians are so oppressive of the Ossetian people this place needs to be independent to stop another massacre from happening.

16- Somaliland
Should be recognized as an independent country. Large potential in combating jihadists in the region.

17- Texas
Should be independent. Would be an amazing country.

18- Falklands
Argentina can f**k off.

19- Austria
Y u no part of Germany?!

Should be given greater independence if not full to protect itself from Shiite Houthi oppression.

Short introduction to the Kashmir issue:

Kashmir is a large, fertile and rich state to India's northwest and Pakistan's northeast. When the British partitioned subcontinental India, Kashmir was the largest princely state. Princely states were given the choice of either acceding to Pakistan or India. For most states, their location or their predominant religion made the choice simple. Kashmir had a Muslim majority but its prince was Hindu.
The prince played for independence by continually putting off a decision, but the Pakistani government got tired of his indecision and began to covertly foster revolt among the Muslim populace. Supply deliveries were obstructed and border tribesmen invaded the state. Alarmed, the prince agreed to accede Kashmir to India in return for military aid in quelling the rebellion. India sent in its army and Pakistan, determined to get Kashmir, did the same.
