If there would be a winner, it'd be America. Arabia, the Gulf Countries, Iraq against, Syria and maybe Iran? America alone is far more powerful than Russia+Iran+Syria. This video is basically Russian counter-propaganda, but everything they say is true. At one point, they show an interesting globe with the 20 or so countries that America is "agitating" (civil war, air strikes, terrorist attacks, and Russian "interventions", extensive spy programmes, and diplomatic pressure/sanctions), with the 1 (2 now) countries Russia is "agitating".

I am nitpicking, but I don't think Italy joined the war when Allied win was clear - it joined in 1915 - if anything, the Middle Powers seemed to be winning (in Europe). Germans had just pushed the Russians back out and captured much Polish land. Belgium was German territory with all resistance crushed, and the Germans were getting close to Paris.

I think the country you want is Romania - joined in 1916, but left the war in December 1917, since Russia stopped fighting. But then, on November 10, 1918, Romania rejoined the war, and ended it a day later.

Really, the Germans lost any change of a true victory when Moltke said "Fuck the plan."

If he hadn't said "fuck the plan" Germany might well have crushed France quickly, and made Britain back down.

America cannot leave the Middle East unless everyone in the Middle East dies. That's just about where I stand on this topic. It's quicksand; once you're in, you can't get out unless you move just right. America did not move just right.
