uncapped clams were always capped at 40 when it came to clam wars and many never got anywhere near that number.
A question, 50 wins for all the buff rewards, is that actual wins or win points. It says wins, but somehow I am guessing he means win points.

Good idea, oddly enough "win points" doesn't seem to show
"Previously, rewards were earned mid-season based on the number of territories you conquered on the clan war map. Now, mid-season rewards are earned simply by the number of wins your clan achieves. This makes it easier to understand, and also ensures you can still earn rewards even after all territories on the map are awarded to clans near the end of a season."
The clam wars page says wins and this says wins, but I have a nagging feeling it's based on points not raw wins. At the very least TLA's 1.9 win points have not been enough to get anything, unless the result is done up at the end of the game day/season.

This is how things look after 1st CW day: Prime used to have 158 players and today they've got 86, which means that in 24 hours they've removed 72 or ~46% of their players. Even with this measure in play, their score is still decreased by ~2.4 times. Prime is still not competitive and now there are a bunch of unhappy clanless players. This "update" is causing harm for majority of all clans. Time to look at some negatively affected clans: - Harmony:
32 participants, 13 wins, 0.8 score. Rank: 23rd
- The Last Alliance:
21 participants, 11 wins, 1.9 score. Rank: 12th
- knyte club:
18 participants, 7 wins, 2.6 score. Rank: 9th
- After_Dark:
15 participants, 6 wins, 1.2 score. Rank: 15th
- 101st:
8 participants, 5 wins, 1.3 score. Rank: 14th
- Prime:
29 participants, 16 wins, 6.6 score. Rank: 3rd
- Optimum:
15 participants, 9 wins, 4.2 score. Rank: 5th
This is comparison to some clans that are doing "well": - Danger Close:
14 participants, 7 wins, 7 score. Rank: 2nd
- Ving:
10 participants, 6 wins, 6 score. Rank: 4th
- HAWKS:
5 participants, 4 wins, 4 score. Rank: 6th
- Clan Italia:
7 participants, 4 wins, 4 score. Rank: 7th
- KILL ‘EM ALL:
2 participants, 2 wins, 2 score. Rank: 11th
- Brothers in Arms:
1 participant, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 16th
- 7th Heaven:
1 participant, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 17th
- Battle Wolves:
2 participants, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 18th
- Undisputed:
2 participants, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 19th
- Road to Harmony:
1 participant, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 20th
- ZUGZWANG:
1 participant, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 21st
- Lions:
2 participants, 1 win, 1 score. Rank: 22nd
Here's the main takeaway: 2 players from KILL ‘EM ALL showed up and won their games and now we're supposed to believe that they're better in Clan Wars than Harmony, The Last Alliance, After_Dark and 101st. In case of Harmony, we worked for years to grow our community and we took Clan Wars seriously. Month after month we worked hard and people put their hearts and souls into making our clan a CW success. This "update" is threatening to erase all of our hard work and make our future efforts meaningless. In the past the very same team that showed up today, would consistently reach 2nd spot and today we cannot even crack top 20. Making combined efforts of 32 players be less valuable than 1 single win from barely active clan is an insult. Nearly becoming a top 5 clan with just 5 total participating players is a joke as well. This scoring system is a complete joke and cannot be taken seriously. If it is not overturned soon, I expect for Clan Wars popularity to crater significantly.
I've thought about this for some time, and this is my current proposition on how to improve scoring: Any amount of players can play. First X amount of games give full score, then Y following games give less points and eventually additional games give no points. For example first 25 games would give full points, then next 25 games would gradually give less points until 0 is reached. Of course this system is not perfect, but at this point I'm pretty sure that anything would be better than what we have currently.
Final note: if anyone anywhere is organizing some sort of protest against this inept update, reach out to me. I will see what I can do to help you out. I already tried to reach out to Fizzer in private and got ignored.

I remember seeing Harmony always placing behind Prime by a bit, then you started moving very close and kept a shucking and a jiving and I was thinking, oh oh, and then sure enough you pulled ahead. Fair enough, good hustle. It's all gone now, it's obvious there will be no fix, the new rule set is designed to take uncapped clams out of the game or to undergo a voluntary cap.
I suspect that it will kill enthusiasm for those in the large clams over time at leas the ones who don't quit for smaller clams, seeing the same effort and results getting so nerfed is a slap in the face and as reality sets in over time people who stay will start to give up. Granted those who are in large clams that severely take the axe to their user base will continue on. I don't know about crater, but we are bound to see some reduction.
I feel for those in Harmony who want clam wars but also want all the other things they do, it seems from a post somewhere here that they run a lot of events from their clam members a good way to keep people interested in the game, they have to choose to give up clam wars or give up the other stuff. Bit like asking a British civil servant to give up their pension or their honors to refer to Yes Prime Minister.
Myself, I'll probably give it a bit of a go this season, as there is no longer a 40 person limit so my playing a few games doesn't screw anyone else, but I certainly don't feel like being tethered to the computer 1 or more times a day for not only so little return but also a slap in the face. If I were more keen to continue with clam wars, I'd probably rejoin Danger Close, as I was with them and they are a good group of people, but I must admit, the clam chat is TLA has a lost more people and is thus more active, Been here a few seasons, feeling a bit like home. Seems there isn't going to be a big egress from TLA, hopefully not, then I will be very annoyed.

I understand how big clans are annoyed because the numbers speak for themselves, but only until a certain point. For months (and probably years) big clans benefitted from rotating crews. Yes not everyone is interested in CW plays, that's the same for us. We are a community as well, just a smaller one. We had 40 members so far and only about 10 played CW consistently. But if any of us stopped playing or missed too many slots, we'd get out of the top 9 and lose coin rewards. The same dozen of people had to play for months to barely stay afloat. I went on vacation for a month and gg stopped playing, we dropped to 10th.
So let's not act like it's unfair to put an handicap on clans who can rotate their crew in a split second. We can't recruit 10 new players for CW every season to rotate ours and we never had any space to allocate new players who wanted to learn. If you have 100 members, your performance should count half. That's how I see it.

"Yeah the whole thing seems to be pretty much targeting big clans:" Only explanation. He made claims about making it skill based but it obviously isn't anymore. He said there was an issue with people not being able to play, which almost never happened and at best only impacted very casual players. The whole goal was that he didn't not like uncapped clams and did something to either force them to ditch members or nerf them into irrelevance. Mission accomplished either way. No concept of the other non clam war benefits of large clams. But he got what he wanted and it will never change. I just need to share them feels because boy boy boy you know, you know I got the feels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5_wn8mexmM

Yeah small clans were hurt heavily in the grind for activity that CW used to be. Nobody is denying that. But this isn't the fix for it: > Small clans still need to provide 25 players a day to be competitive, just like they used to before > Big clans are now excluded from the competition for not clanning the way Fizzer wants a clan to clan The fix for small clans suffering from being small is not to effectively exclude all clans with more than 70 players but to raise the clan cap to 100 or so. (And still keep it so that only 25 players/day are needed for CW, cause nobody wants to grind all day every day)
